I don't think they contacted them last year but I may be mistaken. I heard somewhere that Ben was contacted in late July, so we all may still be in the running. I’m pretty sure they said the winner would be contacted by 30 July, from what I remember. Probably during next week or closer, since we're already halfway through the month. Whoever wins, they wholeheartedly deserve it.

Well, that's too bad - I rather liked mine this year but it can always live on in a Divergent Wordsmiths anthology!

Hello again.
Well done to all those who entered the opportunity this year and to the writer of this years winning entry.
Constonks is right, Divergent Wordsmiths is a great place to submit stories to. I was really pleased to submit a couple of my stories for the ReCollections anthology. To read the wonderful stories written for it, with the lovely cover pictures was marvellous.

Bit disappointed that I didn't win, once again, but overall I still want to congratulate whoever has been chosen. In the end, it's always down to one winner. Now that I've already begun drafting my non-winning entry in full, there's always hope for a second ReCollections anthology.
And I'm very open to accepting submissions (via email), even though we're not expected to begin proper work any time soon. It's just to have a good read with consideration.

I do hope it's someone on here, though - there's certainly a few writers on here who haven't responded yet! In any case, the quality of the Spragg winners has been super high so I'm looking forward to listening to the fifth(!) story this December.

Well, it's not me either I'm afraid. Jolly well done to whoever was chosen and commiserations to the rest! Brave heart Tegan, there's always next time...

Sorry if this is irrelevant to the competition but... Too kind Josh. But what a treat it was, collaborating with such talented, creative people. I wrote a short piece about my experiences contributing to it. I'm really pleased with how the story came out in the end, and it's almost entirely attributable to Selim's tireless efforts. where-there-had-been-darkness.blogspot.com/2020/09/doctor-who-eighth-day.html

Brief Update from BF Twitter
The winner's story is still in production. When it's all in the can, we'll make a big announcement.

www.bigfinish.com/releases/v/doctor-who-short-trips-free-speech-2298On Skaz, speaking costs money.Aymius Todd is trapped in a police interrogation. They want to know about his links to the Garrulous Liberation, and his encounter with a man called the Doctor. But, Aymius is running out of words, and if he can’t afford to finish his story, then he’ll never be able to speak again.

Congrats to the winner !
However, Dudman narrating every Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth Doctor short trip is getting very tiresome...

As soon as I saw the cover and its title, on my Twitter feed, I gasped with a nervous laugh. (My, doesn't it all look lavishing!) Congratulations, Eugenie Pusenjak! 👏

Congratulations to Eugenie! Really interesting sounding story that seems perfect for a Short Trip. Tenth Doctor is great too.
I think these being read by Nicholas Briggs or Jacob Dudman isn't too bad given they're free and are presumably only half a day's work. And that's coming from someone who's sometimes critical of them both.

Hello again
Heartiest congratulations to Eugenie. I look forward to hearing your story. It sounds interesting and I wish you well in all your future writing endeavours.
To those who entered this year, particularly for the first time, well done. Writing is a very personal thing, it is sometimes difficult to send it out into the wide world.
As a certain Brucie would say, "Keep writing!" 🙂
