Hey I'm sure it's been asked a few times before, but do I need to listen to the other stories in the "trilogy", or can I jump to The Two Masters?

I listened to it without having heard the rest of the trilogy and followed it fine.

Yeah, everything you need to know about the other two stories is spelled out in the exposition. I think if you read the descriptions of the other two stories first, you'll recognize the references.
But - the other two are also very good! (And they're better experienced for the first time before The Two Masters.)

Thanks everyone, so what I'm getting is that if I don't that's cool, but I might enjoy more with them first because overall they are great too.

I'd go a bit further - there is a very good reason you should hear the three stories in order and you'll realise it when you hear 'The Two Masters', but probably not before... (And do try to avoid spoilers! )
All three are well worth hearing anyway, it was a really good trilogy.

One of my favourite things about the reaction to this trilogy (hopefully not a spoiler) was people working out the story placement for the first two as they heard them.
Then ripping those up when they heard number three.

Maybe I'll take a day off to dedicate to a fifth relisten, and take notes...
