I am quite enjoying her as the Doctor so I’d love for her to break the 3 series rule. It would be good, especially as us fans now expect that 3 series rule. Personally I could enjoy her in the role for as long as Baker's (Tom) tenure! I hope she is around for the 60th, that would be a good time for her to hand over the reigns to Jo Martin.

Definitely, and Jo Martin needs to have a series of her own somehow, even if it isn't at Doctor 14.

Well, looks promising, even if the main plot had been worked out weeks ago by the fandom...

Looks promising. Guessing the proper Daleks will either be secretly exploiting Robertson’s lot (perhaps to trigger the titular revolution against humans) or just rock up to kill them for being impure.
I will be curious to see how the Doctor’s plotline links to the Dalek stuff on Earth. I worry we’ll end up with a second Fugitive of the Judoon where the b-plot is a weird side quest with no relevancy to anything else in the story.
I saw someone on Reddit suggest this seems to be where the Chibnall era is coming together and that does ring true. Robertson, legacy of the Dalek in Resolution, Jack, the fam’s TARDIS, maybe even Timeless Child stuff in the Doctor’s plot (Ruth Doctor is the reason for her imprisonment after all). Whether this will actually result in anything meaningful is another matter.
One thing to ponder with the woman Prime Minister introducing the Daleks. This episode was presumably written during Theresa May’s tenure. Given Chibnall’s tendency to include less than subtle commentary, it’ll be interesting to see how well this script has aged.

Now that's a great trailer. I love the TARDIS with all the post-it notes. That interior is very nice and they should get as much use out of it as they can. (I would not be opposed to it replacing the main console room.)
I've been hoping for a Dalek story that uses them to comment on the resurgence of the alt-right in recent years and given the presence of Not-Trump and Not-May, we might be getting just that...

Trailer looks fine, nothing really for me to get excited about. Felt safe and familiar which isn't a bad thing. Looks like will be Jack and the fam saving Earth while Doctor escapes. Hoping Ruth Doctor makes an appearance and will probably be disappointed if she doesn't.

I imagine they must have thought her uselessly centrist and traditional. Though having fun at the expense of the PM is a 'New Who' tradition since the Slitheen burst onto the scene and I guess it shows how long productions take and how fast real events move by comparison.
(Imagine those family conversations on New Year's Day: 'Daddy, is she meant to be Boris's mum or something?' )
EDIT: Then I read the rest of the thread and sherlock already noted the time-lag from writing to broadcast.

She was very possibly the best New Who event since approximately forever imo.

For me, to be honest I am of two minds (or even three minds) on this. I like Jodie and seems like a wonderful person but I have very mixed opinions on 13. Something just is slightly off with her incarnation, like I can’t quite connect with her. She sometimes seems too falsely cheerful. I also take issue with 13’s actions in several episodes. But on the other hand I do like this undercurrent of darkness she has (almost like a modern 7) and I think the Timeless Children arch has potential. I think if handled correctly I think her later half of her era has a lot of potential particularly if they give her a lot more character development and maybe stick to her having just one or two companions at a time. I can’t say I personally am terribly excited about 13 having such a long run. There are previous incarnations of the Doctor I would have much rather have had broken the 3 year rule (12 and 9). But I think 13 does have potential if handled correctly and I would be happy for Jodie because she seems lovely.

So getting rid of one of the only redeeming factors of The Chibnal Era I mean I understand why they are doing it but it’s not good Not that I find the current run remotely enjoyable in any way Stop being a troll. How am i being a troll?
