More of a teaser than a trailer and one of the clips is repeated a couple of times. It’s nice enough, but hard to really get excited or a good idea of what to expect. However, comments from Chibnall that the whole series is one story is a very exciting and interesting reveal! As for the surprise guest, I think Jacob Anderson is great and a welcome addition to the show. I wasn’t expecting anything earth shattering, so can’t say I’m disappointed. I think now we know the series is one story it’s probably a bigger deal in hindsight than it first appears. And I suspect for the team, who already know what’s in store, feel the same. IF that's true All 1 story ideal I-Player Boxset Regards mark687

Panel kinda just descended into some incredibly generic anecdotes about what a great/funny/weird experience it is filming Doctor Who.
Series 13 being one big story is very interesting, and a nice promise of cliffhangers.

I am curious about the new character Jacob Anderson is playing! I’m not familiar with him but his character looks like a cool future badass, perhaps a Han Solo type which could be fun. Also wondering since Jacob is a musician in real life if they might incorporate that into his character🤔😊 I also wonder if Jacob’s character is a replacement for if they were originally planning on bringing Jack back?🤔
I think it could be a good change for series 13 to have one continuous story sort of like a throwback to the classic Era serial format! I wonder if Jodie’s comment is a hint that Missy is coming back?

I thought the panel was okay, with some really exciting things in there. The single story for the whole season is something I'm really excited for, if nothing else because it will force the production team to keep momentum going throughout the series, and Jacob Anderson will be a welcome inclusion to the cast.
That said, the trailer was a little... underwhelming. There wasn't a lot in there other than shots of the people who we already knew would be in the series.
It's safe to say I'm hopeful and excited for Series 13, and I really hope they pull it off.

Hmm. I am afraid to say I am also a bit disappointed and cannot really say that any of this, especially the trailer, got me hyped. I was just like.... oh, so there will be explosions. However, if this really is all one story, that at least got me interested. Just because it is different.
Now I have also just seen the trailer for Lower Decks season 2 (which I had mixed emotions about for season 1) and I immediately said to myself, wow, awesome, definitely will have a look at this. Oh cool, they have cameos again omg Riker and Paris.
It is all there in the presentation and which bait you dangle from the hook.

A middling teaser but I can't get mad at it - there's not enough content there to have a strong reaction to.

Oh yeah, and this is who's playing Mary Seacole. In Holby, Silent Witness and done voices in games. Plus, she's Jamaican, just like Seacole. /photo/1

It's only a teaser, little bit of a reminder for people that an actual series is happening, not just a special. Was it great? No. Good? Not really. But we'll get more in the actual trailer.
Jacob Anderson is cool. Good environment to unveil him too as for a Comic Con panel, Grey Worm from Game Of Thrones is a much bigger deal than John Bishop. The opposite for the casual, home audience so unveiling Dan at New Year made more sense and Jacob now, even more.

Hello again.
And the countdown starts here... I'm looking forward to Season 13, though I shall not be watching any further trailers, (Season 10 brr). With only eight episodes this year I hope this end of year treat will be worth the wait...

My thoughts: Doing the whole series as one story is a bold, interesting choice. I wouldn’t want it to become the standard (episodic adventures where the TARDIS can go anywhere or anywhen is too much a part of the appeal of the show) but it’s a fun idea to explore a longer story for one series. The one story thing also means that there will be more space to develop companions. I’m very hopeful that Vindar isn’t from contemporary Earth, which will add a different perspective that was lacking in the previous TARDIS team (much as I liked them, three companions from the same time and place means they often got lost in the stories). The trailer doesn’t give much away, but I love the logo with the stripes. Hoping we get one with a little more substance closer to release.

Well my excitement levels have risen, even though I'd have preferred some more time with just Doctor Who & Yaz the idea of a single story, & this seems more than a Bad Wolf style arc, is really interesting & probably a good decision given the limitations this time due to the pandemic. The trailer? Well it's the usual quick teaser but I really appreciate how Chibbers plays things close to his chest. The hints at old monsters returning is intriguing & the new character looks good. Someone else for BF to do a spin-off with?

I get that Chibnall likes to keep things close to his chest but he’s not really given any sort of hook or anything exciting to hype up the new series. The fact that one of the major bits of info from today is that we now know Dan’s surname says a lot. Take Vinder - sure, they announced his character but all we know is his name and the actor. Give us some vague hints about him to hype him up at least.

She comes across such a wonderful sincere ambassador for the show. Little videos like this, the "hang in there" clips during early lockdown, surprising the kids who'd just watched her debut episode...you couldn't ask for more from the person playing the Doctor.
And yes, I have a big ol' crush on her.

I tell u what, in a few years time when/if she joins BF , it will be a pre-order immediately from me. I trust the BF writers possibly more than the tv in terms of consistancy.

However, for a Trekkie who was VERY much into it back in the day of TNG, DS9 and Voyager, it is much more of a fun Easter Egg hunt. That part is great.
Otherwise, it is extremely hectic and when I watched it the first time, I had a very hard time understanding anybody because they talk machine gun speed.
