Speculation: Was the Division created to combat the threat of the Flux? I like that. We still have the specials next year (which even one of the BBC accounts forgot in tweeting "The trailer for the 13th Doctor's last adventures"!) - so even if not, there's time to resolve whatever is going on there. We do need, I think, to resolve that, look at the status quo of Gallifrey (RTD taking over with a new Doc being "Last Of The Timelords" would be a bit..2005) and I think do more with Jo Martin. Certainly the Timeless Children. And The Master. Chibbers only has these eps and the 3 specials. Lots to be done but having just seen a Bond movie last week that took an awful film in SPECTRE and managed to not ignore it but fix it's problems, I think Chibnall has it in him to do that for Who. With him writing it all, surely it plays into his Broadchurch strengths a lot more than the last few years. As long as it's good Who, I'm happy enough. Good Who that follows up on it's own questions, even better. Even if some didn't like the questions being asked, I think he deserves to give the answers to them.

I know a lot of people have their opinion of him but this is where his strengths lie, a single story over a season. Also, Jodie Whittaker hints she’s filmed Doctor Who regeneration scene – but doesn’t know who new Doctor is. Which maybe confirms earlier article about a Jodie double seen filming with an actress. The regeneration scene & we have a female 14!

So, I think I am probably the most excited for Chibnall’s Who since it started, which isn’t a slight as I have greatly anticipated both previous series. But having a six part series is I think where Chibnall will shine, and I like that we are getting a lot of new and old. And cannot wait to see how everything unfolds!

My number one hope is that it truly is one big story. Having just finished Dalek Universe 3 this week, I would love something like that. Where every story has a place and couldn't move without the whole structure coming down. Even when some episodes had action that may have been something you could move, the character development was progressing. Everything felt like an organic growth from story to story making something more akin to a classic era serial.
Dare I hope with the timelines looking odd in the trailer that this - and I don't expect it to meet this lofty standard - is New Who's War Games? An epic over 5 hours of storytelling all pulling in one direction? And with the specials to come, we could easily have a big cliffhanger to come.

Having watched the trailer, I'm more excited for TV Who than I've been since World Enough and Time. The returning monsters, the new characters, the single story over the whole season, and - perhaps most notably of all - just how utterly stunning it looks. Best production value Who's ever had? Very possibly. I'm really excited, and even though I haven't liked most of what Chibbers has done in the past, I really want Flux to be good. I can't wait!

I think the trailer needed more of a throughline, but it’s definitely got a grand scale to it and it looks fantastic. Lots of returning monsters popping up, but lots of new characters too.
I really think Flux will be something special. It plays to Chibnall’s strengths and a Doctor’s third series is pretty much always a highlight. Hope it does well for all concerned.

I hate to say it, but I have never felt so unenthusiastic about a new season of Doctor Who as I feel now. The trailer helped a bit, but not enough.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I think season 12, Timeless Child shenanigans aside, was a fairly even improvement over season 11, and narrowing down the TARDIS team to just three ought to help focus things. My main concern is that this story arc seems like it's gonna be "big scale," and--this may be a hot take--I don't think Doctor Who (and most other media, for that matter) ever really does "big scale" conflicts very well. The best Who stories IME have more grounded, personal stakes revolving around the characters.
And also, like... maybe the word, "Flux," has some stronger alternate meanings elsewhere, but where I'm at, "flux" is generally associated with diarrhea in infants. It's... not an appealing image.
But honestly I'm not too concerned with whether or not it'll be good or bad or in-between. Between Dalek Universe and Stranded I'm pretty happy with the current quality of Who storytelling.

The newly designed Sontarans will be featuring in Empire of the Wolf, an upcoming comic miniseries from Titan featuring Rose and the Eighth and Eleventh Doctors.

I hate to say it, but I have never felt so unenthusiastic about a new season of Doctor Who as I feel now. The trailer helped a bit, but not enough. Speaks volumes when you consider the trailer tends to show many of the high points from episodes in the series. Honestly, I was losing interest back during Smith's run as I really found the writing was getting weak and lazy, it only got worse during Peter's time. I gave up after the first episode of Jodi's tenure and from what clips I've seen and what I have read here and elsewhere, the writing hasn't improved any.

Speculation: Was the Division created to combat the threat of the Flux? The Fanthology “Forgotten Lives” suggested that the Division was set up to combat the Unity, which is a brilliant pun IMO.

So the actor who played Dan's mate in the reveal trailer is Karvanista.

Maybe, but why would they put an easter egg on his CV? Its gone now so maybe a mistake? Oh, I meant the Easter egg is that the actor playing Karvanista appeared early as another character altogether in that little teaser. Possible it was just an incorrect listing, of course!

Hadn't heard it before today but Aisling Bea is apparently in one of the non-Regeneration Specials. (I'm guessing the Dalek one, not the Chinese Pirates one but you never know.)
Another person who'd be on the list of 'could have been the Doctor five years ago but is too busy now'.
