So I suppose we've all seen that this is a thing now?

YES! Wooo! I'm only a tad excited. Seriously, I think there's a better chance of getting it right on audio than in visual media. I really hope they don't mess it up.

The author Neil Gaiman is in my home town right now as I type- his wife is performing at a Festival here.. It's "Mad March" in Adelaide, Australia- basically performers from all over the world are here for the Fringe Festival. There's some amazing shows.

Neat. Wonder if they’ll cast someone to play Doctor Destiny for the ‘24 Hour Diner’ story or whether it’ll be solely the Narrator and Dream.

Wow, with the insanely talented Dirk Maggs at the helm, this is going to be an amazing audio movie. He did incredible work finishing the HitchHiker's Guide and has done really groundbreaking stuff with Batman and Superman for radio. I'm sad that he has yet to create audio Doctor Who, but hope he gets the chance someday.

So, just to confirm this will be a full cast audio- not just people reading from a script?

So, just to confirm this will be a full cast audio- not just people reading from a script? Isn't that the same thing...?

Someone reading a story like a Short Trip or Companion Chronicle to me is far different to a full-cast audio.
Does anyone else feel the same/different?

I was joking in a good-natured way as full-cast audios also have the actors reading from a script (i.e., they don't memorize their lines). I now see that you meant "script" as "prose" as opposed to television or radio script.

The Sandman story is so sprawling, it'll be interesting to see what's in and what's not. Just in case you've not seen...

The Sandman story is so sprawling, it'll be interesting to see what's in and what's not. Just in case you've not seen... A stellar main cast, several names known to Big Finish and some inspired casting choices on this list (Arthur was one of my guesses for William Shakespeare and I had wondered who they would cast as J'onn J'onzz seeing as David Harewood is busy playing another version of the Martian Manhunter. Reginald D Hunter wasn't even on my list of guesses..😊) and all just a few days before my birthday. One Audible credit very easily spent. Roll on July!

The only thing that bothers me about Audible audios is that you can't have a physical copy ... Unless I'm mistaken?

Reginald D Hunter!!!
I thought we had seen the last of this excuse for a comedian...….
constantly uses racist language......particularly the N word,
it may be acceptable to use under the guise of free speech in his home county but not in the UK...….
almost makes me want to cancel my order...….but not quite....my morals can take a hit on this one and everyone (well almost everyone) needs a chance to redeem themselves

Is it really unacceptable for a person of color to use the n-word in Great Britain. As an American, I have been led to believe that there was no problem with people of color using the word, only whites. Granted pronunciation enters into it and I don't know how Mr. Hunter uses the term. Once again, I don't want to cause a debate on whether or not it should be so, just what is generally accepted. IDLE

IDLE its not really a word that is used in the uk by anyone black or white, its a racist derogatory word who ever says it, we should aspire to better things and leave those horrid racist words in the past. the word its on the banned word list for live public broadcast as zero use and any use result's in a fine along with the C word and a few others.... even the dog from the dam busters story is referred to as digger and not the N word now. mr hunter's comedy is based on racial differences but fell foul of quite a few bodies for continuing to use the N word in his performance, which led to him being discontinued to be used as guest on panel shows and vilified in the press and in recent years fell from favour. hope that clears things up a bit, no stirring up trouble, its just not a nice word that has thankfully mostly fallen from use
