Such a pity that the Avengers audio collection has such a mishmash of box set art work. The first two volumes are a horror !!

Such a pity that the Avengers audio collection has such a mishmash of box set art work. The first two volumes are a horror !! I agree, but at least the current set looks good - I just hope the next set follows with the silhouettes for the Avengers and then elements of the story in the background. I’d love to see a fan cover for the previous, Tara King set, as I am sure with a little restructure and the inclusion of silhouettes for Steed and Tara someone could make a much nicer cover.

I agree. The cover for the current set is fantastic. I'm hoping to get some time to listen to it later this week, but the story outlines sound good.
Fingers crossed that the cover for volume five has a similar style with silhouettes of Steed and Tara. It is a bit odd that they didn't even appear on the cover of volume three!

I’d love to see a fan cover for the previous, Tara King set, as I am sure with a little restructure and the inclusion of silhouettes for Steed and Tara someone could make a much nicer cover. I'm not skilled in that area, but I'm sure those hugely talented individuals that are, could create some great replacement covers for the dire ones attributed to sets 1 & 2. I quite like the covers for sets 3 and 4, bar the fact that set 3 should have had Steed and Tara silhouettes. In fact (a small gripe), but even the lay out of the actors names on sets 3 and four differ. I hope BF at least have the common sense to continue the trend of the recent design going forward.

Decided to create replacement covers for sets 1, 2 and 3 so they match set 4 . Starting with Set 3.

Great cover! Adding the silhouettes of Steed and Tara has really improved it.

Great cover! Adding the silhouettes of Steed and Tara has really improved it. Yes it makes all the difference! Simple, but so much more effective.

Just finished set 4. Episodes 1, 3 & 4 were absolutely terrific, a fun listen. Episode 2 'The Clown Has Two Faces' unfortunately completely bored me to sobs, I found nothing to enjoy in it at all. I did roar at the opening line "I nearly choked on my toffee" but after that it was a fast race down hill all the way !

I'd love it if Big Finish ever did make episodes of The New Avengers. Always enjoyed watching Steed, Gambit and Purdey.

I'd love it if Big Finish ever did make episodes of The New Avengers. Always enjoyed watching Steed, Gambit and Purdey. Yep I did enjoy it a lot and it made me love the earlier stuff now who could play the newbies lol I cannot say I have given that a lot of thought though am now comfortable with Olivia in Diana’s role on audio I never really class it as reality drama. Still would love a detective show real crime drama but not too dark I go to audio to escape a lot of detective stuff now is just too dark thematically that I cannot find entertainment in them

Oh yes, The Avengers couldn't really be classed as reality drama, certainly not by the time it got to the Emma Peel and Tara King episodes! That's one of the reasons why I love it though; some of the plots were just so bizarre!
I guess the early episodes with Steed and Dr Keel were the closest the show ever got to being grounded in reality.

Just finished listening to Volume 4. The Avengers is always a favorite. Loads of fun. My mother enjoyed the TV show and introduced it to me in my youth when it was broadcast. I need to watch/rewatch more of my Emma Peel box set. I had forgotten that Margrave appears in Volume 3 with Tara King. Anyway, good show.
