A story focused on the urban legends of the house fires supposedly started by this painting. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Crying_BoyDefinitely something you could give a science fiction spin to. They’ve already established that elementals (or beings to that effect) exist within the DW universe perhaps copies of this particular painting act as a conduit to a realm of fire and brimstone?

That’s so creepy! Tell me about it. Apparently it was surprisingly popular during its heyday. Even if we ignore the fact that it supposedly has a bad habit of setting homes alight. No accounting for taste I suppose. I definitely think it’s a fun idea for a story though. Could imagine UNIT creating a cover story for it and calling a mass recall of the paintings to be locked away in one of their Black Archives.

The Doctor goes through a transformation that starts at midnight and ends at midnight like Cinderella ( except with a male incarnation to be non stereotypical).

The Doctor is dying and the only thing that will save them is physical affection/touch (platonic and/or romantic). Only thing is for some reason the Doctor is terrified if they do let themselves experience physical affection/touch something awful will happen. I think would be an interesting exploration of trust as well as a different take on the power of love theme.
Side note: If this story hasn’t been written yet, I would like to write it someday.

I’m not sure how you would do this or even if it would be especially suitable for a Doctor Who story but a parody of Pokémon.

The Doctor discovers their companion (who they are particularly close to) will have a wonderful future but only if they stop traveling with the Doctor very soon. If their companion does continue to travel with the Doctor they will have a premature and tragic death. The Doctor then has to force themselves to get their companion to want to stop traveling with them before it’s too late. The Doctor can’t tell them about their death though so it complicates matter.

A story which focuses on Gustav, a notoriously savage crocodile which has taken on almost a legendary status. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustave_(crocodile)Be very easy to give it a science fiction reworking and say it was a genetic experiment gone wrong or something.

In the midst of the Time War, the War Rani unleashes her most deadly experiment yet. A bio weapon which can affect the emotions of all those who are exposed to it.
Inflicted upon the enemy, the Dalek forces now must contend with a new concept. Feeling guilty for all the lives they have taken and the horrors they have committed in the name of the Dalek Empire. Many of whom are so grief stricken that they even take their own lives, feeling unable to repent for their crimes.
Unfortunately, the chemical has evolved and has now begun to affect the Time Lords as well.

Going back to how the Doctor is neurodiverse, and how I feel it would be interesting to see them bond with a companion or side character who is also neurodiverse. This would need to be very carefully handled but it would be really interesting, heartwarming, and educational to have the Doctor help comfort someone going through an RSD episode (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria). Even though they never said it outright this seems to be a condition the Doctor has themselves.
Side note: This is something I myself have as part of my ADHD.
Side note: I think when the time comes BF really should do something similar with 13 and Ryan who has dyspraxia bonding over having different working brains and their everyday struggles. I am also pretty sure 12 and Clara both have ADHD, which would also be interesting to explore.

The Doctor decides to rent out rooms in their TARDIS and all sorts of alien room borders take residence. There are a few humans but there also Judoon, Sontarins, Silurians, bug people from the web planet, Ood, Zygons, etc. The Doctor constantly has to deal with all sorts of drama between the residents, especially since some don’t get along. Different residents also take turns being companions to the Doctor! Hello again.
Nice one. This would make a lovely spoof of the series Friends. I came up with a similar idea on this forum, with a street inhabitated by Doctor Who aliens. Avenue Who? or Regeneration Street.

I have hardly seen any of the sitcom Friends(I’m more of a Sienfeld girl) but I love your idea!😁

A Short Trip set at Woodstock featuring Janis Joplin who would later give him the coat which would become a signature look for his Tenth incarnation.

This is for BF if and when they get Capaldi and Coleman, Clara takes 12 on a trip to her native Blackpool introduce him to ballroom dancing as a way to feel more more comfortable with physical touch.
Side note: I wouldn’t even care if there were any aliens or sci-fi elements in this, because it would be adorable, and sweet and heartwarming premise on its own!

An Unbound story where a less scrupulous (yet still immortal) Captain Jack was recruited by Nimrod and The Forge rather than Torchwood.

The Doctor goes missing and a meeting is held of all the current and past companions of the Doctor. While trying to decide how best it would be to look for the Doctor they all get into a massive argument and split into different groups all of which think their way is best. We then follow each of these groups and their efforts to find the Doctor all of which are mismatches of different companions from different eras each with their own unique strategy for searching and potentially rescuing the Doctor. Of course all the groups eventually realize they need to all come together to find and save the Doctor and all work together in the finale!

An Unbound story where it was Rassilon who was trapped in an anti matter universe instead of Omega. Omega would later go on to rule as Lord President resulting in a very different Gallifrey.

Not sure how this would happen but the Doctor and a companion either swimming through the stars in space like it’s an ocean or dancing through the stars in space.
