Really man? That is your answer you don't agree with someone just get them banned?
Nope, I’m not offering an opinion on your position in any way. Just observing that on any forum, even ones as pleasant and easy going as this, creating threads to attack the moderators (for misguided reasons and in the wrong section, lest we forget) tends not to end well.
Kamelion, I'm not exactly sure what your issue is but saying that 'See, the community of people that we are, we do not want moderation or censorship' is a load of tosh.
I'm happy for there to be both moderation and censorship, and on this forum it is well done.
This is a forum to discuss Big Finish and other related content and by the very nature of it, people should really stick to those topics. Yep, I've gone off piste once or twice and have been told to get back on track. That is fine, and I'm happy with it.
Please don't appoint yourself as a spokesman for forum members. We are all quite capable of speaking for ourselves, either publicly via posts or in a PM.
You are speaking for no one other than yourself
I think the mods do an excellent job overall, light touch but effective.
After reading this thread I went into your profile and read you other posts - you're entitled to your opinions and I won't engage with you on those, but there is one point of fact on which you are mistaken. You seem to be labouring under a misapprehension that the mods have deleted some users. All the deleted users are people who, for their own reasons, deleted themselves. The fact that there appear to be so many is because some of the members who deleted themselves had very high post counts.
I don't like to see anyone leave the forum, but if it/we really annoy you that much, then why would want to come here and upset yourself? Life's too short and time is too precious to waste it getting worked up into a rage on a forum you seem to dislike. Why not enjoy yourself on a forum you actually do like and leave those of us who do like this forum to enjoy it in peace?
Isn't this is the wrong section of the forum for this discussion, I think a moderator should move it?
Couldn't agree more with the points made by dorney, lidar2, bohnny, ljwilson and everyone else. I'm generally quite social media phobic (no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) and don't tend to put myself out there online, but these forums are the one and only place I feel comfortable to occasionally post an opinion of thought as it is usually a safe pleasant space where people are discussing the same sorts of things that interest me.
Messages addressed directly to a forum user (regardless of whether they are a moderator or not) that appear aggressive in nature are not in the spirit of this forum and it saddens me to see this happening.
I don't even get the "50% of people's reviews" part. Like, on **********? How on Earth would a moderator here delete reviews on there? And if, by any chance, Kamelion means messages (not reviews, wtf?) on this forum... where the hell did they get that number? If that was anywhere close to reality, I'd be *very* lucky to have never had a post removed.
