Films in real life that feature actors who’ve played the Doctor also exist in the Doctor Who universe, but there they actually WERE the Doctor. Basically the Third, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Doctors are all a little embarrassed by playing a part in The Airzone Solution and it is most definitely used to tease them whenever they meat up with one of the older Doctors. Also 12 didn’t have to stretch too far to play Angus Flint in “Lair of the White Worm”. The reason 12 looks so different compared to how he normally does is that 12 made it during an unusual period when he temporarily got younger. Sidenote: Angus Flint is Capaldi’s most “Doctory” pre-Doctor role! I’d like to think every film Twelve is in, Clara’s watching behind the camera with an increasingly exasperated expression.

Yes!😊 And 12 begrudgingly took Clara to meet the real Queen Victoria for research for her role in “Victoria”

Honestly I think we're getting farther away from headcanon or wacky theories and just into pure slash fiction there.

My bad 🤦♀️ sorry I just thought it was cute but didn’t know where else to post it 😳it is part of my head cannon though because it’s genuinely what I would like to imagine the relationship 12 and Clara would have if things played out differently. I just thought it was sweet.

I thought it was very sweet. It gave me warm fuzzy cuddly kitten feelings. Of course, it turns out I've been shipping The Doctor as far back as Romana. You betcha! Back of the line, River Song!

Thanks, and I don’t see what’s wrong with posting the picture in this thread. It goes with my headcannon that they would have a closer relationship if things played out differently. Also it’s not like it shows anything inappropriate. Yes, they are in bed, but they are both fully clothed and he’s reading a book while she is sleeping.

One time 12 accidentally ended up with half grey half dark hair!

At some point Jago and Lightfoot got turned into mice and defeated the evil mastermind Rattigan!
Sidenote: Has anyone ever done Jago and Lightfoot/ Great Mouse Detective crossover fanart? If not, someone should because it would be amazing!

12 once gave Sixie a pair of rainbow Doc Martins as an apology for calling Gilbert and Sullivan “crap”. Although he would never admit it the rainbow Doc Martins suited Sixie perfectly! Sidenote: Why yes, I do own rainbow Doc Martins!😁

So this occurred to me while listening to Stranded 2, and I think it's now my favorite Doctor Who theory--and is therefore now my strongest headcanon.
So: the reason why the TARDIS always has problems is because future incarnations of the Doctor keep sneaking in and stealing components.
The reason why the 1st Doctor's TARDIS is in the worst shape, and each subsequent Doctor's works better, is because as the oldest Doctor, his is the TARDIS that has been broken into the most.
Im not sure if I think every Doctor has done this, but certainly everyone from the 4th Doctor on.
....
And then there's the follow-up theory: all of the TARDIS' problems are the result of predestination paradoxes. IE without these thefts, the TARDIS would be in perfect condition always and forever. So, for example, the 8th Doctor goes back in time to grab some hardware from the 3rd Doctor's TARDIS in order to fix a problem caused by the 3rd Doctor "losing" that hardware in the first place.

Both the Doctor and the Master once landed in Royston Vasey. They didn’t stay long.

That is *genius*. And not so silly, the idea has a basis in an officially published story. According to Hunters of the Burning Stone, the Eleventh Doctor made sure the Chameleon Circuit was busted in Totter's Lane as added insurance for a scheme in the future. One that required the image of the TARDIS to be embedded in the ancestral memory of the human race. The equipment breakdown wasn't just fated, but vital.

Edgar Allan Poe was one of the few humans the Master could tolerate and even possibly enjoy his company. He would meet him a few times throughout his various incarnations. With Poe being rather unsurprised by how his ‘friend’s appearance kept changing over time.

In an alternate universe, a young Professor Lazarus was hired as UNIT’s scientific advisor over Liz Shaw. His work and partnership with the Earth bound Third Doctor made for some rather... interesting results.

Frobisher has disguised himself as other Doctors besides Sixie, in fact while the Fugitive Doctor was chameleon arched he impersonated her for several years!

One time due to a bizarre mishap involving a horse getting into the TARDIS in the middle of the time vortex, 12 was temporarily turned into a centaur. Clara rather liked 12 as a centaur (especially riding on his back) and 12 did stay that way for about a week before he could be changed back. 12 did notice that he was much better at running with four leges. Although every time he went to pick up Clara from work her students kept asking for rides on his back! Especially Courtney Woods who kept calling him Doctor Pony! He was annoyed at first by the constant requests for pony rides on his back but eventually gave in after Clara whispered to 12 that they would have a special ride just the two them afterwards😉

The framing scenes of Tom Baker in the original BBC VHS release of Shada are set early in his future incarnation as the curator, and the models of enemies he walks among are exhibits in the Under Gallery.
