If there's a good side to this pandemic, I have upped my cooking game a lot. I've done curry, shepherds pie, restaurant grade fish and egg sandwiches, jerk chicken and just yesterday, from scratch fish and chips.

A new hot dog place opened up near me. Lunch was the Tex-Mex: home-made hot dog with chili, black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, pickled jalapenos and cheese sauce on a freshly made bun.
I don't think I'll ever eat again.

Celebrated the sunshine (if not the warmth) of springtime and Easter with a Cornish pasty in every sense of the word.
Made west of the Tamar with potato, onion, swede and skirt of Red Ruby Devon beef all grown / raised within 5 miles of home.
Washed down with a bottle of Betty Stogs (go search online for it if you must) and later a fresh baked scone with jam on first and Trewithan clotted cream.
Proper job! (oops, wrong brewery. Got some of that in the larder too, though.)
(PS Sorry, Devonians, but even the Doctor said Jam First!)

My parents came by yesterday and provided dinner for tonight-
organic spring lamb and fluffy German potato dumplings.
And strawberry cake for dessert.
Nearly made up for the fact everybody in the family had to eat by themselves.
