I'm loving that, again, there doesn't seem to be too much Dalek action coming up in this set. I reckon they'll only really appear in the second story. Also, I feel like River may turn up in the final story of the set - "heart-breakingly familiar faces". This could be the first time the Doctor meets her after Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead...

I'll hold off until after the set has been released before committing my yo-yo's to Vol.2, I want Daleks... and loads of them!!!

I mean ' Dalek Universe' just means 'the universe of the Daleks'. As in, the universe that Terry Nation created. Equally, it's completely understandable that one would want loads of Daleks in a series like this, but it looks like Vol. 3 will be the main attraction for that.

I'm sure that was intentional "What do our Customers Buy Dalek stories. What do the online communities complain we do too Much of Dalek Stories Right then.... " Regards mark687

I’m calling “a marked shift in tone” as being a play on words and the plot being similar to The Dalek Protocol and Mark being controlled by Daleks.

The line-up of stories and writers couldn't fascinate me enough. That'll make my 25th birthday!

Mine, too! I've got the 24th, so odds are good I'll be able to listen to it on the day of, unless Big Finish drags their feet with the release.... Maybe they're worried about Briggs throwing out his voice? The Daleks are also surprisingly absent in the various Time War sets, and when they do pop up, they tend to be background threats.

Maybe they're worried about Briggs throwing out his voice? He's never had a problem getting his voice in to everything before! The Daleks are also surprisingly absent in the various Time War sets, and when they do pop up, they tend to be background threats. I think I'm spotting a trend here...

How does Simon Holub manage to outdo himself with every single cover he makes? Absolutely exceptional.

The gorgeous individual covers for this series just make me miss them being on other ranges all the more.

Gorgeous covers, love The Lost in particular. The Doctor’s blue suit is overlooked compared to his brown, so I really like it turning up on these covers. That consistency across the covers helps sell that this is one bigger whole too.

For some reason the Trojan Dalek cover very much reminds me of the Out of Time cover, I think it might be the dynamic colours. But all are beautiful covers, especially The Lost.

My guess is Dorney is the Russell T Davies of the series

My guess is Dorney is the Russell T Davies of the series Yep, he's the script editor for the whole series, and the series was his idea. Essentially, he's in charge of the stories. David Richardson acts as a sort of Phil Collinson, being in charge of the production side (though he has input into the stories as well).
