Just has to be Masterful doesn’t it? I mean, c’mon a Multi Master story? Rather goes without saying.

I am very curious about Masterful. If handled right, this could be something truly special. I am also very much looking forward to the next River Song release, from the start she had a special place in my heart. And so far, her releases were quite fun. And then there is the Main Range release. Featuring Colin. Do I need to say more?

Masterful, Fourth Doctor, Colony of Fear & River Song are all releases I’ll be listening to.
I think my most anticipated is Masterful, purely for Beevers, Jacobi & Gomez, rather than the release itself; I don’t think they’ve done a great job of promoting it. River Song is closely behind as Alex Kingston is fantastic, I’m looking forward to hearing more from Rachel from Volume 2 and everyone loves K9.

My top three in order are:
Masterful (LE, of course ) was the fastest announcement-to-pre-order I've ever placed with BF so obviously this is my 'most anticipated'! Colony of Fear - Sixie and Constance for one last hoorah in the MR. River Song 8 - Vol 7 was my favourite to date and this one sounds fun. River & robots!

Masterful 4DAs Season 10 Vol. 1 Colony Of Fear
I confess to having a backlog in the hundreds of hours across all the ranges from Who, spinoff and other non DW releases but Masterful will be jumping the queue for sure. Any Michelle Gomez will always be a day 1 listen. John Simm didn't quite sound like his Master in the trailer but then so much of his Master was an act, a performance for The Doctor - so I'm happy to accept this is how he is when he's not got that pesky Doc to worry about!
I've advocated for a Master range for....god, a decade or so going back to the old forum. I need more stories where they WIN outright. Build the genius we're always told about only to see foiled. This isn't quite a range - but it's a good start! Something like Dalek Empire, which did more than any TV Dalek story bar one or two to make them REALLY scary, all conquering monsters.

River Song 8 - Vol 7 was my favourite to date and this one sounds fun. River & robots!
I want the next set to be River The Luddite She "borrows" the TARDIS as she does in Husbands Of River Song and, of course, changes the console room to the S14 one, nice n wooden.

I'm surprised to see how many of us ordered the Limited Edition of Masterful.
I have all of the DW items pre-ordered.
To tell the truth I might be a little bit Mastered out, the War Master stuff has been pretty intense. Missy has been making up for it but that's still a lot of the Master and I probably want to complain it isn't fair when we can't seem to be able to get a Second Doctor story anymore. "You've been a very bad villain and you don't deserve your own boxset", lol.
I really am looking forward to Masterful for the momentous meetings and extended extras, but I'm pretty sure the stories will wear me out keeping tabs on that many Masters, lol.
No doubt I'm most looking forward to the 4DAs and River Song, provided this feline contraption doesn't steal too much screentime from K-9, lol.
Sort of not looking forward to the MR release as it means we draw ever nearer to the end of the range, but no doubt BF will make sure it really is something to look forward to.

Masterful is the big release for me this month, but I'm also keen for the Forth Doctor and River releases. I'm excited for Simms to join Big Finish and look forward to more interactions between his Master and Missy. Big Finish has really been bringing it with their Master releases for the last few years and this seems like the pinnacle of those efforts.

I can't believe you would betray your '70s Doctor oath and bump Tom for a companion! All 4 of last year's 4DA stories were as per usual...reliably entertaining. I haven't listened to the last 3 box sets of River Song, so I'll just have to take your word that her Series 7 is extra special. My 3 BF January must haves are: Masterful LE, 4DA Series 10A and MR #273. It's good to see MAIN RANGE: Colony of Fear (for something that supposedly can't financially sustain itself) being strongly supported within this thread's poll. The sales consistency for these various Main Range releases must be a challenge for Big Finish. Some would do better than others.

I can't believe you would betray your '70s Doctor oath and bump Tom for a companion! Shocking isn't it? But Tom is still safely up there as my second favourite Doctor of all time, it's just that the last Fourth+Leela series 7 was a let-down for me compared with the excellence of series 6, 8 and 9. Especially in one story I had high hopes of - too much social/"political" commentary and not a good enough story imo.
So I'm not getting too excited about this series. And the one I'm actually anticipating (despite/maybe because so few details) is next month - 'The Tribulations of Thadeus Nook' (or his Time Tours I think it was originally) by Andrew Smith. I've really enjoyed his Fourth Doctor stories (and the other Doctors') and with that title it has to be a fun one doesn't it? And I keep wondering, someone running time tours sounds very irresponsible... could it be an alias for an appearance by the Monk??
(Definitely recommend River 7 to anyone who likes detective stories. River at her best, solving crimes and mysteries in four very different genres.)

Wow...I’m really impressed about how you have thought things out. You would know better by having the experienced insight of listening to everything discussed. You’re not a ‘70s Doctor traitor...you’re just a smart man. I didn’t think of the Leela correlation with Series 7 and this upcoming Series 10. I also found Series 7 to be rather bland. There were no standouts. I gave its first 7 stories a 7/10 and its last story a 6/10. None of them (for me) being must again listens. I am under the impression though, that there are a large number of fans that thought Series 7 was excellent. I do ever so slightly prefer 4DA Series 5 over your agreeable Series 6 recommendation. I privately call Andrew Smith - “7/10 Man”. He never writes a bad story and he never writes a masterpiece either. Andrew is very reliable in providing consistently good stories. I did break the mold and give his The Quest of the Engineer (9.4) an 8/10! There’s nothing overly amazing in that story, but its pleasant provided memories have still stuck with me. I will listen (for the fourth time) to that one again!

I will listen (for the fourth time) to that one again! I can assure you it's mostly the usual ill-informed and generally wrong fan speculation combined with personal biases, likes and dislikes! As I was wrong about the Monk yesterday... no it isn't him. Still sounds a fun story though.
I'm all out of release order with my Fourth Doctor listening (heard all of S6-9, most of S4, half of S1 and nothing of the rest, yet), so series 5 is a treat waiting in my backlog. Maybe this year!
My favourite recent Andrew Smith story isn't a 4DA, though I've enjoyed them all very much, but his excellent 1DA 'Return to Skaro'. Very era-authentic as his writing always is imo, and a really good adventure too. Though as a Third Doctor fan it's not surprising that my top favourite is his excellent 'Storm of the Horofax', which helps to make Vol 3 of the 3DAs still my favourite volume of the range, just staying ahead of Vol 5 by a whisker!

I am getting all the physical releases except the Masterful SE release.
Probably most looking forward to - in no particular order - 4DAs, Masterful and the MR release
