I'm only in the high 600s but no-one has come close to Slocums awfullness. He sounds like a stand-in just going over lines sitting in for someone at a readthrough. My fave "bad" acting, on the other hand was the GLORIOUS Bathia Mapes. Her and Roger playing off against each other was a contest to see who could chew the most scenery. Abwomanely wonderful. I see your Craig Slocum and raise you Addison Powell. He's up there (down there?) but Slocum - bless him, I'm sure he was lovely - had less charisma than Barnabas' painting!

Ol' Barney's trying to be nice and not bite too much these days so Bathia Mapes and Roger certainly bare their teeth more in those eps (I think its 449-50 or 450-51). I love it though, I'm not being sarcasting, they played it so arch that I just adored it. Was gitted when Bathia Mapes was consumed by first. Like Burke Devlin, Bathia Mapes is one of the characters who must have their full names used at all times Barnabas trying to impress Vicki or Maggie? Bathia Mapes has to be one of the most memorable names I've heard in Dark Shadows. I love it. If I get another dog, it's not even up for debate - it's going to be called "Bathia Mapes" Ahhh, my dear Bathia Mapes...only in 2 and a bit episodes and yet you stole my heart!

Still...he was Sir Lawrence Olivier compared to Slocum.

Maybe Harry Johnson will be the villain that's coming back for the big 50th, muhaha. Carolyn wasn't a big fan of him.

The Addison Powell one is easily one of the greatest things ever.

There's a podcast somewhere in which I state that maybe Harry is the character I'd like to write for next.
I can assure you I was absolutely joking on that point.

I don't know. With parallel time or the case of the several Quentin Collinses, we have had repeats of names. Let's not forget Willie's Roxanne who doesn't seem at all connected with the one that accompanies Sebastian Shaw into town.

50th Anniversary will be the first release I review for Planet Mondas from the Dark Shadows range - hope I do it justice, listening to as many of the preceeding audio stories as I can & have a working knowledge of the TV show even if I have not seen it all.
Dark Shadows is up there with Jago & Litefoot as my favourite Big Finish range.

O/T but of interest for sure - Matthew Waterhouse has recorded a Joe Lidster penned Short Trip for the Doctor Who moth ST range. With those two talents, I'm sure there'll be some crossover appeal to those who don't sub to the range. www.bigfinish.com/news/v/doctor-who-short-trips-adric-is-backNice t-shirt Matthew's got

As for that Joe character, not so much. I do love that t-shirt...wonder how we might procure one? PS: On another note, Davy, I finally figured out how to multi-quote (which you may have seen that I had mentioned over on the Dorian thread)....had to give it a go to make sure it worked!

The t-shirt's amazing. And I love that Matthew wore it - he really is proud of his association with the show (as evidenced by his tweets yesterday).
I've googled hard but can't find the shirt anywhere though. Damnit.

Loving Bloodlust (awesome, 3 episodes in & loving it), getting Kingdom Of The Dead mini series & pre-ordered this, it's all David Gallaghers fault he knows i have no willpower to resist.

Aha! Thank you - I usually ignore cafepress search results, but there it is. Not a perfect rendition of the logo, but it'll do!

I'm suprised the pre-orders for Bloodline haven't gone up yet - maybe before Caranaki's release?

Recording Bloodlust seemed like a logistical nightmare for Davy so I'd imagine they're waiting a few months for recording to be done to have a news story, pictures, first casting news etc. If the TV actors are coming back again it can't be anywhere near as easy as getting other ranges recorded so I'm not surprised we can't order just yet. Won't be long, I shouldn't wonder. The 50th will keep us going before Bloodline
