LOLZ I remember the whole "Dark Eyes" crash, the "Torchwood is coming to Big Finish" crash, the crash last August when Mr Eccleston was announced.. I say this in a funny way not as a criticism.. It shows people are pumped up and ravenous for this product - I see it as a "compliment" of sorts if the site/app goes down for a little while.. A little ! HAHA They've come a loooong way since their first years selling cassettes at the turn of the millennium. Remember the days when having three of the original acting Doctors was considered fortunate and even the possibility of Tom Baker was just a happy fantasy? If the servers are crashing these days, I begin to wonder just what the number of visitors, purchasers, listeners, movers and shakers, all look like. It's got to be massive.
After this, I'm honestly not putting too much stake in the word impossible anymore. As Audrey Hepburn once said, the word itself says "I'm possible". It's a day of firsts. One of those moments where you look back, years after the fact (probably after the latest multi-Doctor special with a collision of classic and revived), and go it all started off with Sphere of Freedom. yes.. From "Day 1" to now, just looking at what was once a "no" to now a "given", we are very fortunate . No one is obligated to take on a Big Finish job, we are very lucky

For Chris Eccleston, doing things like the Big Finish Q&A posted up on Facebook nearly a month back, it's been great to see him so invested. The word that consistently keeps coming up in all the surrounding material is "joy". It looks so cathartic. You can see his face light up when he's talking about revisiting the part and every question gets that weight of genuine consideration. It'll be a pleasure to see him back at the console and so energised.

It’s really happing.
We’re just a few hours from the 9DA’s being released. I can’t wait to have this on my phone.
I can’t wait to see where Big Finish takes the 9th Doctor, in 2021 and beyond!

Lets all reminisce about the genius person who found Chris "hidden" in the BF webpage, and the denials from them.. Fun times and kudos to whomever it was that found it HAHA

Available to download now!
Running times are a real throwback to 2005: Sphere of Freedom - 42:19 Cataclysm - 47:31 Food Fight - 54:37
Behind the Scenes - 1:01:41
Just keep an eye if you're downloading via the website. I went with the CD copy, but the download contains both the individual tracks and the two sides for the vinyl. You might want to sort them out before listening, otherwise that will cause some confusion! Still, a nice little extra.

Honestly, the announcement for this came so long ago that the reality that I'm actually downloading it right now hasn't hit home. When I put my headphones in tonight though, I'm sure I'll feel the 16 years rolling back and I'll be a little seven-year-old Whovitt enjoying the Ninth Doctor all over again
