Hey everyone,
I wonder if Big Finish might relaunch Benny via serial? Perhaps, with an iconic Doctor Who villian to combat?

I was keen on a serial release format for Charlotte Pollard when I had hoped she might return to the 1930’s - weekly 10 min downloads with "previously on..." setting the scene, but I can not see that working for Benny.
However her current box set releases tell one story in several parts, so I suppose you could say she already is doing a serial.
Personally with all the Big Finish box sets I think they should release a disc at a time as a download. It reduces the size of the download, it keeps the excitement of a release going for a longer period and it gives CD buyers like me the chance to catch up as hopefully the physical product will have arrived either before or not long after the final download.

Doubt it, Benny was relaunched not that long ago anyway, and BF seem hell bent of everything in a box. True, but very much back within the confines of Doctor Who. I'm enjoying The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield immensly, but I'd rather Benny back in her own series. |

I'm enjoying The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield immensly, but I'd rather Benny back in her own series. I get the impression the last few box sets featuring Benny on her own didn't sell too well. Which is why I assume the decision was made to reunite her with the Doctor and Ace, so more people would buy her New Adventures. As much as I love Benny on her own, she has had her own independent adventures with Big Finish ever since they started making audios. Now Big Finish have branched out into other ranges, the sales for her series would naturally fall as interests are drawn to other areas. Also, I've always thought Benny worked best in the TARDIS, alongside the Seventh Doctor and Ace. So honestly, I'd rather Benny was kept in the TARDIS for the time being if it means we still hear from her, as opposed to dwindling sales forcing her to disappear from Big Finish for a while.

I wouldn't mind the New Adventures range seeing the return of some of Benny's recurring characters, especially her son.
