After reading a post on Reddit about speculation over a second Season Of The Eric Roberts Master spin off what would we want to see
Thanks to The Diary of River Song and Master! Volume 1 we have two areas of expansion for Eric’s Master history: the younger Wesker like post Tv Movie look and the silver fox version post Day of the master
Personally I’d love to see Roberta Master actually not being sidelined in his stories for example: Master! He was basically sidelined for Vienna and The Co female lead Masterful- basically sidelined by all the other masters Day of the master- extremely sidelined by The War Master and Missy Lifeboat and death boat- River obviously given it’s her range
So his master being in control and winning would be really good
He could encounter The 8th Doctor, Cybermen, 10th Doctor or Captain Jack
But what would you like to see?

I would like see exactly the same! The 'Master' set is excellent, not least because of Eric Roberts - so I would like to see/hear him more centre stage! I know he is very effectively used as a mysterious, shadowy figure and I love that, but I would like him to step out of the shadows a bit more - and not get safely locked away again at the story's close.

Personally, I rather like the idea Magneto posted a while back where the Roberts Master becomes President of the United States.

Seeing as we know the story will end with him back in the vortex in order to be reconstituted as Zombeevers, it’s a limited scope for storytelling IMO.

I kinda wish they hadn’t thrown him back into the vortex at the end of Master! Of course he could escape again (and hopefully will) but it would have been nice just to let him breath. And i get why not, they don’t like to (or perhaps can’t?) leave continuity gaps when they don’t have any firm plans. They don’t know if they’ll get eric again so leaving i open ended to not conclude it can be frustrating for the listener. But if that did happen, he never worked with bf again but it was left open ended, i mean it doesn’t take a ton of imagination to imagine him getting trapped in the vortex, we don’t necessarily need to see that.
Regardless hope theres more as Eric's great, definitely still ground to cover with this master

The Thing is though the audio Mastermind contradicts Nearly every single Roberts Master Audio as it explains how he left the eye of harmony so they can easily extend or even have a clone of the master that becomes the Beevers Master

Besides we have a rather long gap to explore the Master
The Younger TV Movie Version has the gap from The Lifeboat and The Death Boat to Day of The Master so there is heaps of room to explore his Master (Though limited options to use the image of his younger self due to the Fox/Disney/Universal issue)

Mastermind doesn't contradict the roberts audios so long as roberts ends up trapped in the vortex. Mastermind doesn't say its the masters first time escaping the vortex so it can easily take place post master! and just be his final escape from the vortex

I don't remember who originally pitched this, but there was the absolutely fantastic idea going around that Vol 2 should be about the Master serving a term as the US President.

I envisioned the Deathworm Master as a controversial but effective US President to explore the duplicity inherent to the office. This being a stark juxtaposition to the Saxon Master I think affords an opportunity to place the Master at the helm of the current societal war going on here in the states. There was even a place for the Eighth Doctor, who Colored by his war time experiences, is unable to cleanly or neatly dispose the Master

Another idea I had that I think is worth repeating is Missy and the Deathworm.
I thought Missy played really well with the Roberts Master and although they've already gone with a Monk team up, the idea that Missy was smitten with Roberts was great.
I think we've learned that Roberts needs someone to play off of. Master! gets this really well, and I think a Missy and Worm boxset might sell not just as a volume 2, but if BF were keen, you could sell an entire range all it's own.

I think it would be a neat idea if we had a story set during the Golden Age where the Roberts Master ends up playing a Lex Luthor (or Ultra Humanite!) role opposite a group of superheroes who are clearly moulded in the vein of the Justice Society of America.
Part of the story would be a mystery that the Master would have to solve as history does not record the existence of such a group. So where exactly did they come from?

I think, ideally, I don't want Eric Roberts to be in this hypothetical set at all. I think the ideal future would be to turn "Master!" into a catchall range for all of the "other" Masters who, for whatever reason, do warrant their own ranges--Beevers, Macqueen, Parker, etc. Though obviously Roberts would be included in that number--but to establish the pattern of a "Master" range I'd say save him for the a subsequent set.
Though knowing Big Finish, if other Masters do get their own sets, they'll be totally standalone releases because nothing can ever be cleanly organized here, grumble grumble.
So, anyway, more on-topic:
Story-wise I kinda wanna see more of the "Faustian bargain" side of things w/ Roberts. He should be the serpent in the garden, ya' know? That seductive voice, whispering in your ear. I think pairing him with Vienna in the first set was a mistake (crossover characters are too beholden to the status quo, etc.) -- in future sets, I'd point to Only The Good as the best example to follow: just take a "normal" Doctor Who story, remove the Doctor, and insert the Master.
Alternatively (or additionally) maybe also lean into this incarnation's brutality? He's the guy who manipulates when he can, but when he can't--or gets bored with it--he just tears into things, right? The War Master will shoot someone because he's tired of their talking and it's the most expedient means to shut them up; the Roberts Master will shoot someone because it's fun.
EDIT: the Crispy Master will never shoot anyone, because if he does, he'll lose--or at least diminish--his audience, and we all know he's a great big ol' drama queen.
