Well, listened to The Ark, but it was one of the listens that was constantly interrupted - I'm sure most seasoned audio listeners will have had this experience at some point - with the result that I found it difficult to follow the plot. I have a general impression that it was good, but I wasn't really able to enjoy it. I like to leave at least 12 months between my first & second listens, so will re-listen in about a year's time and I hope to enjoy it a lot more.
Genesis of Terror was a good enough listen but was not really different enough from the original to justify its existence. BF made much of how great Terry Nation's stage directions were, and they were ok to listen to. Maybe their excellence was lost on me since I don't read scripts as a rule and do not have anything to compare them to, but I don't think there is enough in this to justify it as a standalone release. Not often BF make a really bad call creatively, but I think they did this time.
Also, I thought Lucoratti's original version of Ark was 6 episodes. Was this just an urban myth, or did BF cut the script from 6 parts to 4, or were the scripts that were unearthed a 4 part version? This doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere, but I'd be interested to know.

I think Lucarotti wrote a 4 part version before Holmes did the rewrite from the ground up.

I thought when Locoratti's 6 part version fell through, Holmes did a 4 parter and Bob Baker & Dave Martin did a 2 parter to replace the original 6, but I am remembering old DWMs from 20/30 years ago so can't claim to be any kind of authority on it
