*Googles Bronies* *Finds documentary trailer* *Jaw hits floor* Well...every day really is a School day! 😯 yup!.. They are the template for "bottom of the barrel".. Oh I don't know..I think there is a portion of fandom scraping the barrel far lower than what I saw in the trailer. The ones who tried to crowdfund a remake of a recent movie because it didn't fit their expectations for example. The ones who willingly embrace a toxic cancel culture. The ones who take issue with an actor or actress for their gender, nationality or the colour of their skin..

The ones telling me that gay parents are bad at childcare because well, being gay makes you evil. Or something like that.

By the way, since My Little Pony is already ridiculed here, I am not going to share what weird and wonderful other fandoms I am part of... (oh well, Aussie already knows, anyways) But yeah, they are quite toxic there, too.

yup!.. They are the template for "bottom of the barrel".. nah, you’re thinking of furries. Speaking of.. I saw 1 of them last weekend at the Medieval fair I went too. Walking around on the uneven football ground oval with their hooves on, those feet are ripe for a sprained/broken ankle if you are not careful..

Hilarious you people obviously you haven't seen the Steven Universe fans You're talking like you seen some stuff in 'Nam... Well there was the incident where an fan artist drew a photo of the main character and his mum and well since the mum character is a BBW and she didn’t draw her that size she ended up getting intense / abusive messages , death threats and doxxing to the point where the artist attempted suicide Thankfully she survived but while she was in hospital they tried to keep up the abuse that even the one or the shows executive producers went to social media to condemn the fandom for their treatment and saying anyone can draw whatever they like and well the degenerate tumblr/ twitter fandom didn’t respond well to that

All fandom has it's toxic elements. I don't really know enough about F1 fandom to offer a totally fair assessment, but I'd wager they haven't posted countless videos or articles proclaiming "Not My F1 Driver!", haven't ripped apart a driver's season because they or the team behind them didn't conform to the fandom's expectations; haven't embraced the cancel culture because one F1 driver USED to do something pretty imbecile and moronic fifteen odd years ago such as..oh I dunno..wipping his Willie out in public.. while they blissfully ignore the fact that another F1 driver has been exposed as a sexual predator.. I could go on..

I was actually referring to Noel Clarke and the twenty plus allegations against him, but Mazepin indulging in sexual harassment and then posting it to Instagram (last December?) should have cost him more than it did.

Is anyone able that is part of both the fandoms mentioned on the title of this thread and it’s poll able to compare them. Mark867? Personal opinion of the options, there are more examples of it Doctor Fandom, but again what's considered toxic Fandom should maybe be considered a personal opinion in the 1st place Regards mark687

Well, since we discussed the toxic side of fandom. There is actually another side to fandom which I have again demonstrated just right now. It is the fans who are plain and simple embarrassing by sending cringe worthy fan mail. I am one of the queens of cringe worthy fan mail. The scary thing is, I often get a reaction. Shudders. One of my worst examples made it onto the pages of Vortex. But I am of the opinion that artists should be shown appreciation by the audience, and yes, some of us go over board with our adoration. Not sure many sports (there are exceptions) and SciFi shows have as many screaming fans as music stars do, and not sure how many of us would be as bad as some of these music fans.... I am also not sure how bad anyone would judge this behaviour. Of course there are extremes. Well, at least I live in the belief that I am not as bad as these toxic haters, just a harmless overly enthusiastic kind of strange and weird.
Anyways, the queen of cringe worthy fan mail has struck again.
But maybe this might act as a warning to the actress in question. Because she brazenly had her email address displayed on wikipedia. This is just asking for trouble. By the more toxic elements of fandom.
