I get embarrassed every time I hear it. Have to say even though I’m not a fan of it, I’m surprised they didn’t use the watercolour aesthetic for this release. Big Finish or consistency: pick one. I think the covers are going to remain consistent for their ranges though.

Amazing. It's only one month away. And to think, it's been 92 months since the last 7th Doctor release.

There's just something about the Seventh Doctor that ghost stories fit so well.

What a Fascinating box set.
Only done the Full Cast Dramas so far
Tinseltown good solid Season 24 fair nothing too grand.
Inheritance however actually turns into a pivotal piece for 7th Doctor fans. Its Bonnie's best performance in a while and Sylvester showcases all sides of 7 on top of believable development for Ribos.

Waitaminute. Was The Gary Man on the Mountain the last 7th Doctor specific release we got? That was what? Christmas a couple of years ago, right?

Blimey, that really was a Bad Day in Tinseltown. It's Season 24 paint by numbers on the surface but without any of what makes that season stand out amongst the rest. The guest cast are unlikeable, although not helped by there being such little material for anyone to grab onto. Both parts feel like they drag on, not helped by them both being 30+ minutes. It's a bit like Shellshock where it feels they're let down by the direction and script editor; there's probably a decent runaround in there somewhere.
I thought Sylvester was great, despite being given relatively little to do. This is no criticism, but has his voice been treated do we think? He sounds fantastic and I don't think that it's a case of him having a good day (as I know his output in Big Finish can be quite variable) as I don't think I've heard him sound so young since maybe the very early days of Big Finish.

Tinseltown - bonzer story from a ripper writer... with the archetype y'all gold-rush saloon lady thrown in.
In my head, Carol/Polly was Liz Truss... I know!

Listened to the first story. It was okay. I like some of the camp which is fun but honestly a lot of the stuff Starkey does well is kind of confined to the two part format, a format I generally dislike. I am looking forward to Ribos Inheritance since Jonathan Barnes is always evocative

The Ribos Inheritance was as derivative and uninspired as you can imagine a sequel to The Ribos Operation to be. Not awful, but not terribly interesting and dragged on a fair bit. I didn't really get much from Ribos that either wasn't already established or wasn't imaginative. And I felt the Seventh Doctor sub-plot was really undercooked; it just seemed to crop up as and when and wasn't well seeded throughout at all.
I'll give the Interlude a listen at some point, but a disappointing set and not what I'd want from a relaunch of the Seventh Doctor, whether I'm a long-term fan or new to Big Finish.
