The Offer by Peter Anghelides.
I'm a fan of Blake's 7 but not so much that I know where these spin-off stories all fit chronologically. Having said that, I have a rough idea of where The Offer fits, and really enjoyed the reveal in one of the final scenes here.
This is another very strong story that well embraces the style of the television show. I can actually believe that Tarrant, Servalan and good old Avon are on the periphery, 'off-camera', and that's quite an achievement for BF.
These spin-offs are great. I really enjoy them. This story, featuring Vila, is a good example of why. Occasionally, his cowardice is, I find, over-used. Not so here. He's still well in character, but his other skills are featured strongly. I liked Karl Howman as The Enforcer too, and the revelations about him. The love put into these audio stories is greatly appreciated. I can't help but think some of it goes slightly over my head, but I enjoy the things I pick up on. Great stuff. Looking forward very much to Heroes and Villains, and hopefully many more sets in the future.
