Alright. Hands up who predicted this spin off? I Predicted a bridging Boxset between this period and Kate Stewart's but not a whole series in its own right. Regards mark687

I am Surprised that Big Finish decided to not do a UNIT Series set in The 1970s with The Brigaider, Benton and other classic unit characters instead as that would probably sell more

There is one current obvious person missing from the Cast (technically 2 but the one I'm thinking of also has a BTB association with BF ) Regards mark687

i wonder if Daphne Ashbrook or Yee Jee Tso would be involved as the UNIT Characters Ruth and Charlie Sato? but wasnt that early 2000s?

Regards mark687 That is odd considering that Big Finish is going full throttle with the recasting of characters and the cryptic hint in the podcast about a Recast character having their own spin off

One of the few highlights for me of the 7th Doctor era. An interesting choice to bring back.

I honestly didn’t see this coming mainly down to BF working Angela Bruce pretty regularly over the last few years but never doing anymore Bambera stories. So I just thought they mustn’t be interested in using the character.
But this looks great. It’s kind of a shame that there’s no Doctor Klein, but at the same time it’s nice that this is a completely clean slate.

Should be interesting.
Anyone up for a cameo by a young Chaudry?

This is really cool, and some fantastic people behind the scenes on this. Battlefield was one of my first classic Doctor Who serials and remains a firm favourite. Bambera/Angela Bruce is such a welcome surprise as well, and with the titling of this and UNIT Nemesis both featuring the word "World", and Emily Cook producing this and co-producing Nemesis, I wonder how these might tie-in. And hopefully we can get more next year provided these do well!

Unexpected announcement for sure, but at least for me, a welcome one. It's not something I'd even really considered, but as soon as I heard about it I was interested.

I’m actually more intrigued by this than the New Series stuff, despite having only seen Battlefield the once. Will wait on more details, but post-Cold War UNIT feels a very ripe subject.

Interesting that these two sets are 3 episodes each while the main series has, unusually, stuck with 4. (I prefer 4.)

I know this is UNIT, but it may go some way to fill a large Counter Measures type hole in my life if they are investigating extra terrestrial activity and strange goings on here on Earth.
I do hope it doesn't go down the cross-over character (River Song anyone) appearing in every set.
