Vote and/or list and/or discuss your favourite Series 1-4 Fourth Doctor Adventures stories. My top 10: - Requiem for the Rocket Men (4.3)
- Trail of the White Worm (1.5)
- The Oseidon Adventure (1.6)
- The Justice of Jalxar (2.4)
- The Auntie Matter (2.1)
- The Crooked Man (3.3)
- The King of Sontar (3.1)
- Suburban Hell (4.5)
- Last of the Colophon (3.5)
- The Final Phase (2.7)
The Final Phase makes my top 10 because: It's one of those less common examples where the finish ( The Final Phase) is stronger than its beginning ( The Dalek Contract). I like the character Cuthbert played by David Warner. And, Series 2 is so extra special having Mary Tamm.

I have to admit that I haven't heard Requiem for the Rocket Men. I had to vote for the 4DAs that I have heard, so I voted for The King Of Sontar.

I haven't yet listened to Season 4, and so don't consider any of those stories as favorites. If Requiem follows the quality of its two predecessors then it might become my favorite.
Also, overall "favorite" for me doesn't necessarily mean "best" story. The King of Sontar is probably the "best" story from the first three seasons, and would hold up better than the others to most kinds of scrutiny it could be subjected to, but it isn't my personal favorite overall.
Here, in release order, are the 4DA stories I rank as favorites:*
1.05 Trail of the White Worm 2.01 The Auntie Matter 2.04 The Justice of Jalxar 2.07 The Final Phase 3.01 The King of Sontar 3.02 White Ghosts 3.04 The Evil One 3.06 Destroy the Infinite 3.07 The Abandoned
* Again, limited to the three seasons I've listened to thus far, and not including the wonderful novel adaptations or PHP.

Hieronymus and elkawho: Wave of Destruction (5.1) is just days away from being released. Giddy-up and complete Series 4! Fourth Doctor Adventures are fan required listening! From my POV: The dialogue lines for K-9 were probably the most natural, and most representative of what you would expect back from the original television Fourth Doctor days within Requiem for the Rocket Men. Without a doubt K-9's best Big Finish FDA outing so far.

My plan is to listen to Series 5 as it comes out, and then go back and pick up Series 4, at which point I'll be fully caught up. And no, I don't want to rush through Series 4 now, since I also have to catch up on 8DA. I'm much further behind there.

People liked The Auntie Matter?!?! Each to their own, I found it one of the worst things BF have done It's a lot more interesting than the four Nick Briggs scripts from that season. I rather liked {Spoiler} the way that the Doctor and Romana were investigating the same mystery yet kept eluding each other and never picked up on the other being there. Kind of like the opening sequence of Partners in Crime, with the Tenth Doctor and Donna.

Oh this is just too hard!
At the moment I am trying to decide between Justice of Jalaxar, The Auntie Matter and Requiem of the Rocket-men.
On a slightly different track as we have now had three seasons of Leela with the Fourth Doctor I've been trying to decide what would be an ultimate eight release season and how it should be structured?
I have decided that I would finish it with
Requiem of the Rocket-men. Death Match

People liked The Auntie Matter?!?! Each to their own, I found it one of the worst things BF have done Easily one of the best 4DAS. While it may play better if you're familiar with PG Wodehouse, it's a fun story with some original twists and everyone is turning in a performance. For me though, it's Wrath Of The Iceni - again a knowledge of Boudica does enhance it but its not essential. Leela gets some wonderful materials, is paralleled wonderfully with a real Warrior Queen and Tom - especially when he's tied up - in having a ball.

My favorites from the first four series:
The Renaissance Man (1.2) The Wrath of the Iceni (1.3) The Auntie Matter (2.1) Phantoms of the Deep (2.5) The Crooked Man (3.3) The Evil One (3.4) Last of the Colophon (3.5) The Abandoned (3.7) Requiem for the Rocket Men (4.3) Death Match (4.4)
Overall, I have felt that series three has been the best, most consistent season so far. Really can't wait to hear Baker and Ward together again in series five!

Trying to complete ALL our Big Finish titles is much like a Pipe Dream! I'm caught up on the novels, TOF, UNIT, and Torchwood. I'm now catching up with EA, 4DA, 8DA, Gallifrey, and Unbound. Then maybe the B7 stuff and Lost Stories. Catching up with ALL of them is not a realistic goal at this time, but "I can catch up on a few ranges if I'm patient and persistent."* * unofficial BF motto

Still, I'm glad you all enjoy it I think in 2016 theres be plenty of Doctor Who fans with no idea who Wodehouse was much less having read any I think similarly about the Series 4 story Suburban Hell. I'm sure plenty of people listening to that will have zero familiarity with Abigail's Party.
