At the moment I am in the mood to discuss Dorian 24/7 so I thought since the ending has been announced I'd make a poll to see our favorite stories. I am allowing 3 choices because 1 would be way too cruel.
I am actually working on a top 10 list now so feel free to expand your list in comments.
Note: I didn't include Pictures...I loved it and thought it was a great adaption but since it's not an original story seems weird to include it with a list of original stories.
After a bit of debate I did include Shades of Gray. Not sure if it's considered part of the same continuity but I thought why not.
And I know Dorian also appears in a Dark Shadows story but since his part is small from what I understand I didn't include that.
I'll post my list later I have to think about it....

Voted for This World Our Hell, Murder On 81st Street and Prime Of Deacon Brodie
This World..was the one that kickstarted it all and it hooked me right away. It's still probably the best thing they've done. Though I've liked whats come recently, it's the first two series that were the highpoints. I also much prefer the narration (so S3 loses points) and prefer half hour stories to the hour longs by and by.
It'll be sad to finish the range but I'm glad they'll go out on top and I might get my "Picture Of" cover that came signed by Alex in a frame at some point as it really has been a wonderful range and a great companion on commutes over the past few years.

Im so jealous. I missed this obviously. I wasn't even listening to Big Finish at the time. I haven't partaken in any of the Big Finish autograph opportunities as I usually prefer getting an autograph in person but I would have jumped at the chance for this. I was hoping they would do something again for the final series but it doesn't look like it. Too bad! But yeah I am amazed at how much I've fallen for this range. Never expected it when I started.

It's easier to list the (relatively) duff stories than it is the amazing ones. Confession of my own, I've never listened to Heart That Lives Alone the whole way through.

Well, the autographs I've got from BF over the years - Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Lou Jameson, Alex Vlahos, John Dorney and maybe another couple I'm forgetting haven't really been autpgraph opportunities, they've just come with items I was buying (mostly pre-ordering) from BF anyway so it's not been any more effort since I was after them all even without the autographs.

I totally understand if it triggers something for you. It is one of my personal top 3 though as I think it's such a great and complex love story. Hugh & Alex have wonderful chemistry and it also has Dorian out of his depth which I love. The other two I ended up voting for are Murder on 81st Street: The most fun story of the range. I love Dorothy Parker and the monster in this The Living Image: While Dorian is never a dasterdly villain. He does something very very wrong here and I love that there are consequences for that. Now I am trying to take a list of 14 and whittle it down to a top 10 which is very hard.

It's probably the most light hearted of the whole range, but it's nice to have a story where Dorian or someone he's with isn't emotionally tortured or killed. The irony of Dotty's nickname for Dorian is utterly delicious. My first memory of Confessions of Dorian Gray is from the 2013 May Day sale. I got the first season, plus Ghosts of Christmas Past, and keenly devoured them. Naturally I was then pre-ordering the new stories as soon as they went on pre-order.

Understandable but I am a DL only customer so in cases where there were opportunities it would be the autograph that would tempt me. But at least with Doctor Who autographs (except Tom Baker) I can get them in person at the Doctor Who con I go to. Hence I still chose the DL option even when the there was a CD option with an autograph. The Dorian range is different. I started with DL but I am going back and buying the CDs. Bought Series 1 & 2 on CD and preordered series 5 on CD (and will get the rest on CD eventually) It's partially because I really love this range and want to own the CDs now but also since it's not a very large range going back and collecting the CDs is not that hard. And since I do love this range so much I would like it signed. And It's doubtful that I'll get an opportunity in person. Edit: But I mentioned it enough on these boards. I missed it in 2013 and I guess C'est la Vie.

It's as close as Dorian comes to something like Who with Dorian and Dottie being The Doctor and companion chasing a monster and with a human threat as well. I've used it as the bait to get non-fans into Dorian and it seems to work. God..the May 2013 sale. I spent high 3 figures that day and pre-ordered just about everything going and filled in all the gaps I had.

I've used it as the bait to get non-fans into Dorian and it seems to work. It makes a nice breather from the horror and emotional torment that usually features in Dorian's confessions. It could actually not be a confession at all, since he and Dottie are telling the story to a police officer as the framing device. It does feel like one of the few stories that could be told in another range, with another set of characters.

This World Our Hell, The Mayfair Monster, and Blank Canvas have got to be my top three.

Only three? There's not a bad story among the whole Confessions of Dorian Gray range. My favourite story currently is The Mayfair Monster, but I could pick any two others from that list depending on what mood I am in at any given time. An exceptionally high quality range of stories. It probably is best for BF to quit while they are ahead and leave people wanting more, as opposed to the range petering out and people getting tired of Dorian Gray. (If there is such a thing!)

I could have made it endless choices with how I feel about this range. But that wouldn't have been very sporting. I hope to see larger list of favorites in comments.

Oh man!! This was so incredibly hard, picking only three! I agree that there hasn't been even a remotely mediocre one in the entire bunch! They are all somewhere in the range of damn good to outstanding, with more tipping the scales on the outstanding side! I wanted this range to continue indefinitely. As far as the notion that it's better ending on a high note, screw that! I wanted years and years. Back to reality, I knew that wasn't possible.
I could say something wonderful about each story, from Shades of Gray to Desperately Seeking Santa and All Through the House....but who wants to hear me blather on. This range has made me laugh, made me cry, made me nervous, and scared the hell out of me. And Alex V. has made this scoundrel/hedonist/anti-hero vulnerable and lovable. How does THAT happen??
As for "squeamish", I haven't EVER been squeamish enough to SKIP a story. I just can't do that. Dorian Gray doesn't get to continue without me along for the bumpy ride!
EDIT: I forgot to add my vote here...I picked The Heart That Lives Alone, The Mayfair Monster, and The Living Image....and it was very difficult. I think those three might have been the ones that got the most VISIBLE reaction from me--meaning, I couldn't contain my emotional response to them.

I haven't voted yet because I just can't decide. Every day I think it will be something different.

I haven't voted because I haven't listened to series 4 yet or the Xmas/Halloween freebies (or Spirits) ... damn, I need to pick up my listening here Cheers Tony

I noticed my favorites are one each from the first three series. Picking one from the 4th... it'd probably be either Enigma or Living Image. I am undecided at present time.
