What we have got so far has been fantastic and I hope this range goes on and on. Following on from what we have got already, I'd like to see more of Avalon, Bayban and the clone Travis.
One thing I think BF could do is tell the story of what happened on Earth during the Galactic War. It is referenced in the TV ep Rumours of Death and we learn that the rebels briefly took over but were too interested in "kicking the corpses" to consolidate their hold on power and the Federation soon regained control. We are told that Shrinker, who BF have now recast, temporarily switched sides at this time so he could appear. Avalon could be present at that time as well. Another Nation created character who could plausibly be around then is Kasabi's daughter from Pressure Point (although would require a recast). Possibly Del Grant could turn up, although since Tom Chadbon declined to reprise the role for Crossfire that probably means no further appearances at all. If not Del then maybe his sister and her husband could be there.

I’ve been making my way through the TV series for the first time, so I don’t know any specifics I want to see, but I’ve really enjoyed the variety of new writers to the range, and do hope that we can get more Bayban and Avalon!

I Wonder if Gareth Thomas hadn’t sadly passed if they could of done a box set set before Blake being captured and brainwashed when he was in charge of the freedom party I would be interested in that because the only piece of media that show him during that point of his life and not including anecdotes is I think the epilogue of the book Archangel but I could be wrong.

Seeing this thread revived actually made me kind of sad, because the next two sets feel as if they aren't doing anything new(much like the set in May as well). The first few releases actually seemed to going in new directions in the B7 Universe, but for one reason or another, its become the Jenna and Cally Continuity show, which is unfortunate.

"Possibly Del Grant could turn up, although since Tom Chadbon declined to reprise the role for Crossfire that probably means no further appearances at all."
What is the source of the information that Tom Chadbon declined returning as Grant? Not doubting you, I just wondered where you saw that official stated, because I agree one of the best "untold" stories would certainly be the tale of why Grant departed the Liberator after Classic Adventures Series 2 and before the start of Crossfire. The first Crossfire story had a pretty vague reference to his departure but nothing more. It is too bad Grant and Avon won't even be able to share another scene together, but I'd be interested in a final Del Tarrant/Del Grant team-up. I'd also like to see Grant meet Avalon.
I think the best direction forward is Post-Gauda stories set after the series. The President is still out there. As are Clone Travis, Bayban, Lara K. and Hinton who all make interesting adversaries. I just finished After the War yesterday and there is also the possibility for more of the aliens to be out there among the galaxy.
I like the Worlds of B7 stories just fine but I'd prefer a more sustained narrative beyond the current boxed sets and I think the best way for that is to look past Series D.

What do we think of the pairing of Jenna and Cally, who have taken up residence as the ongoing Blake's 7 regulars? I love them both, but I'm not sure they're strong enough in their own right to carry the series. I loved the dynamic between the regulars on the television show - there was a point where Avon was going to shoot Tarrant, and the less said about relations between Avon and Vila in Orbit the better! I miss that gritty level of interaction, of distrust between our 'heroes'. Jenna and Cally are too 'nice' comparatively.
There's a hint in the forthcoming After the War that Travis might have survived the events of Star One (not a spoiler; it's in the blurb). That would be an interesting development. He's as much of a renogade as our protagonists, so that might be worthy of exploration. Also, I really enjoyed the Avalon audio sets, and hoped, if I'm honest, that she might be the thread that tied the B7 universe together, with welcome guest turns from our established cast.
I welcome any new Blake's 7 stuff from Big Finish. Looking back, they've released loads of really good stuff in various formats. I'd like to see some really gritty Federation political intrigue, some fire between our heroes.

Happy to see more Jenna and Cally, but it is odd for the last 3 releases to seemingly ignore Vila and the last 6 to ignore Tarrant (and Dayna if you count recasts). Soolin we know about, as the character is not licensed to BF. We are not privy to all the details of actor availability/willingness, so there may well be good reasons for the heavy reliance on Jenna and Cally. But as the original cast are getting fewer and fewer, it definitely seems strange for BF not to be making as much use as possible of the remaining ones.

Yep, it's a real shame we have the ongoing rights issues with Series D - in theory, we could have the entire cast bar Avon (I'm quite happy with Dayna's recasting, as Josette has made it clear she doesn't want to return to Dayna). As you say, this is down to actor availability, and if Steven Pacey and Michael Keating are no longer in the running, then I'd prefer the worlds of B7 to continue with Cally and Jenna (and Avalon) than not at all. Either way, kudos to Big Finish for continuing the range.

Changing the subject, I was thinking the other day that Paul Shelly is still alive and appeared as Provine the Nation-penned episode Countdown. Provine would be a good character to bring back in a prequel episode. He was definitely one of the more competent and effective Federation personnel (imagine if Servalan had put him in charge of chasing Blake rather than Travis!)

I'd really like to hear more Avalon - the first two sets were pretty good but there was little that dug into the character's backstory. I didn't come away knowing much about her. We could also follow the rebellion post-Star One... we know what Blake did, and the Liberator/Scorpio under Avon... but what about the rest of the rebellion?

I think the reason Jenna and Cally get adventure is because of their fates on the show Jenna go M.I.A and later dies and Cally dies so they free can go on adventures that won’t contradict the show.
For example they get to go have encounter with Dorian because of there eventual fates.
I think if they do a full recast they should probably try and get permission to do there own reimagining/Reboot of Blake’s 7 like they done for some of the Gerry Anderson stuff

Decided to do a appearance breakdown for the range up to Allies and Enemies only Full Cast. I think Travis A might be off by one.
Jenna - 11 Cally - 8 Avalon - 6 Greif Travis - 5 Zen/Orac - 4 Bayban - 4 Villa - 3 Arlen -3 Croucher Travis - 3 Dev Tarrant - 2 Bek- 2 Dorian - 1 Shrinker - 1

How much of the Federation’s later more extreme subjugation of its populace was driven by fear of ongoing rebellion and the possibility of alien infiltration?
