I think you'll find that's actually Eclectic Dreams...?

I think the poll has been restricted so you can only choose one option. Anyway, enjoying this set a lot on the whole. The House That Hoxx Built is the episode I was most apprehensive about and I think it'll likely remain so. It's not bad, but the Balhoon concept is just far too broad to really use in a range like this, unless you wanted to specifically take a deep dive, but this episode doesn't do it. Instead we just get expanded information on the state of the earth that we already knew about from The End of the World. We get misunderstanding of human culture, which we also got in The End of the World. We get name drops of species that, you guessed it, are in The End of the World. Then the episode itself takes 50 minutes to really get going, before giving us a final act that doesn't really justify the build up, to be honest. It's lovely to get another 3 & Sarah story, and this is one of Treloar's better recent outings, but the episode overall is a bit of a miss, if inoffensive. The Tivolian Who Knew Too Much is a lot of fun! It goes into Tivolian culture a bit more than what we get on screen, and we get to see different players within that, so it justifies the usage of them. The actual episode is quite a farcical thriller, with a guest cast who are all clearly having the time of their lives. Tom & Louise are on fine form and somehow my Leela fatigue just seemed to slip away for an hour. Together in Eclectic Dreams I loved. It definitely requires a relisten, as it's so dense, but the imagery it produced was fantastic and I loved the soundtrack to this one. Colin is on great form and it's one of his better most recent outings. I thought the inclusion of the Eighth Doctor was very well done. The smallest of interactions between the two Doctors worked in its favour, and it very wisely focused on using Eight to uncover the trappings of the story and the bigger mystery. Very much looking forward to If I Should Die Before I Wake, probably with a round of painting one of the bedrooms; oh the joy!

As with the previous sets of this Range this is a showcase for BF, tightly focused plots very strong performances.

The House That Hoxx Built by Tim Foley. A delightfully eccentric drawing room ghost story, featuring The Hoxx of Balhoon, a butler called Butler, the Third Doctor, Sarah, and the Seventh Doctor’s umbrella. I really enjoyed this atmospheric little pot-boiler – it’s not at all what I expected, which is no bad thing, and of course Dan Starkey fleshes out The Hoxx nicely. Treloar and Miller are completely established as the new Third Doctor/Sarah team – quite right too (chronologically speaking, the two characters had been travelling together quite a while by this time). The story might go on too long, but it’s a good one, rich with atmosphere.
Good old Emma James! The Tivolian Who Knew Too Much by Robert Valentine. Inspector Giallo, eh? This play on words is just one of the delightful things about this really enjoyable drama/comedy that hits all the right notes. It’s always a pleasure to hear Anthony Howell growling through the character of Steasel, with his voice that could undo rivets; Robert Daws joins David Walliams and Paul Kaye as a member of the Tivolian race and measures up wonderfully. The Tivolians are favourites of mine from the recent series, and I’m delighted to hear them so well served here; only Imogen Church’s characters don’t quite convince. Tom and Louise are seemingly having a great time – and who can blame them? Terrific fun. Looking forward to more tomorrow.

I enjoyed the entire set quite a bit outside of the opener which dragged though it’s still a Tim Foley script so it’s very fun in places (and I just want more of Tim Trelor and Sadie Miller). The last two are probably the strongest entries as they muse on dreams and stories which I love.

If I Should Die Before I Wake didn't quite come together for me. Not a bad story by any means, and there's some great stuff in there, I just felt it was a touch underwhelming compared to the initial premise. The Doctor and Charley trying to one up each other during the first half got quite grating and then we get a turn of events that doesn't land because it's only just getting into the heart of the story. Then what unfolds feels a bit strange because it's a two hander that's trying to be full cast. It's all quite disconnected, perhaps intentionally so, but it doesn't come across great to me. It'd be interesting to read the script, as the behind the scenes makes it feel more layered than what it actually listens like. And the use of the Kantrofarri is neither here nor there really, just some mentions of them to remind you that it's part of Classic Doctors, New Monsters.
Paul & India are brilliant, though, and there's some lovely dialogue and interactions. Just didn't feel like a satisfying whole for me.
My least favourite set of the three, I think, but it's good nonetheless! This is such a lovely overlooked range that is the perfect introduction to Doctor Who at Big Finish. Long may it continue.

Really enjoyed The House That Hoxx Built. Is it going to set the world on fire, no. Is it especially original, again no. But Treloar, Miller, and Starkey are putting some amazing performances in a script that's a lot of fun. I look forward to The Tivollian Who Knew Too Much tomorrow!

I really enjoyed the house that Hoxx built, I'd say a solid 8/10.
It appears the Tivolian who knew too much is getting a lot of love, I found it a little underwhelming, the cast were great but for me the story was a bit light, it was fun but not one I'll likely listen to again in a hurry. 6/10
I'm halfway through Together in eclectic dreams and loving it, I like when Doctor Who goes weird and the whole Inception style vibe of the Dream Crabs makes for a fabulously disorienting listening experience , so far 9/10.

The House that Hoxx build is nicely atmospheric. First half quite creepy and it has been so long since we had a good ghost story. Especially a creepy ghost story with the 3rd Doctor, who usually has to deal with UNIT and weird alien invasions. Best of all, I got to listen to it at night while sitting in the dark watching the meteor shower in my parents garden.

I think Tim Foley is one of BF’s best writers at the moment and The House That Hoxx Built does little to change my mind. He takes a simple premise and works it for all it is worth. Treloar has settled in comfortably with his Third Doctor and Sadie Miller does equally as well as Sarah Jane.I’ve been doing a re-listen of Sapphire and Steel so a spooky-ish Who story hit me in my sweet spot. Oh and Dan Starkey was also fantastic.

This afternoon, I listened to "The Tivolian Who Knew Too Much". Well, this is just a fun little explosive action piece. Pure popcorn entertainment. It reminded me a lot of the "Despicable Me" franchise, if I am honest, especially the second movie. Somehow, it has a similar vibe. Well, at least it pushed the same buttons with me, so immediately after I listened to this, I looked up when the new Minions movie was on and went to the local cinema to see the Minions movie. Make of this what you want. Leela and the 4th Doctor were great in this, and the actors had a blast for sure (you can just hear the joy).

I just finished this set. The House that Hoxx Built: A lovely story with amazing performances. Everything I could say would just be repeating what everyone else has already said. Atmospheric and creepy and great to listen to.
The Tivolian Who Knew Too Much: a fun romp. I don't particularly love the Tivolians, but this was better than I was expecting. And I like hearing Tom Baker having a ball in a story. It's in contrast to the previous one, and I like that as well.
As much as I enjoyed the first two stories, I have to say the last two just blew me away. The Dream Crabs are used in both, but boy are they used differently. And just as effective in both, I have to say. The first story had an unexpected character, at least for me, and the layers of dreaming were wonderful. Mari was lovely, and it's a shame we won't be hearing more from her. For a one-off companion I really felt like she was a fully formed character. The last story just blew me away. I had forgotten how good Paul and India could be when they really click with each other, and man it did show in this one. I kept wanting to turn it off to focus on some other things I needed to do, but I just couldn't. I'm going to be listening to this whole set again soon. Terrific release.

Together in Eclectic Dreams- it was pretty clear from the start what was going on, but it was none the less enjoyable. The story itself was not what I had expected, I liked the "dreamy" and "dream logic" build up. Plus the leads (including the "unexpected" one) gave great performances! Just a bit sad that I have to say for a Colin story, he was got slightly robbed, because "unexpected" stole the show!
