Mother's Day this past Sunday. Visited and made waffles and ate far too much. Then stayed till dinner and had two burgers.
I don't think I ate at all on Monday.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

I’ve changed the title to make it clearer.

It is cherry season. Still, buying cherries is expensive. But right in front of my nose is this humongous cherry tree in the garden. Like in the past 3 years, nobody cares about those cherries. So I asked my landlady if I could help myself. "Take as many as you like". I got the buckets out. Summer is not complete without being sick from overeating on cherries at least once.

Had a nice dinner consisting of Sausage rolls, crisps, two slices of bread and a bit of trifle.

I haven't had a proper meal in abou a week, haven't been able to tolerate anything but water for the past 3 days.
I guess the upside to my situation is that when I can eat, I like to eat well, so I tend to cook nice things. Well, as nice as I can. Last time I made an asparagus quiche, with three different cheeses (50% white cheddar, 25% havarti, 25% Swiss). Asparagus quiche has quickly become one of my favorites and is so good with the right amount of nutmeg. (IME most quiche recipes are too "creamy" so I typically add an extra egg or two, if that counts as "stuffing.")
Next time I cook something I'm gonna do a blackened chicken fettuccine w/ Cajun Alfredo sauce and roasted garlic.

I got to make it yesterday! It was good! I did forget to remove the outer "paper" around the garlic bulbs, though, which made extricating the roasted garlic unfortunately rather difficult. I did get a bit of a "fun" idea: one day I could roast 10-20 bulbs of garlic, and then mash them all together! Roasted garlic has a really mellow, slightly bitter flavor (not strong at all like you may think) and the consistency/texture of mashed potatoes. I think "mashed roasted garlic" could be really good! Not sure what it would go best, e with, or how to best use it. Maybe spread over a hamburger? Or served as a side with, hm... paprika and fresh basil? I dunno.

I stopped stuffing myself with food as a child when I realized that eating too much did not make me feel good. Now I eat till I'm satisfied and stop.
