Well it’s got a nice cover and a new writer, but whether I get this will depend entirely on quality of the first set.

The stories all sound so fun and interesting. The cover looks horrible, especially in comparison to the last one, but hey, looks like a good set.

Presumably Matosic is working on this set, unless there’s unannounced Bambera adventures to come…

Got around to starting this, The Frequency is excellent and takes a very nice look at military R&D and how it is misused and abused as well as how authoritarianism is kind of intrinsic to the military

Finished the set and the finale was alright. It’s got a big character twist that might heave hit harder if this set had set it up a little more, but I liked that it linked in to the kinda post-Cold War desire to keep the fragile peace world politics kinda fell into. The aliens are very so-so, they want to conquer Earth for unelaborated reasons, which is a shame after they were hinted at before. I did like the reincorporation from The Frequency though.
This does feel like the end for this miniseries, especially as Bambera literally says the words “brave new world”, which I do appreciate somewhat as it’s nice to have An End for a storyline as opposed to on and on forever like everything else Big Finish produces. But that said, if they do get another idea for Bambera & co, I’d be willing to give it a go.

Last week I finished the first set and today I finished the second set. I am glad I listened to the two of them back to back for the most part.
After the tag at the end of the first set, I had anticipated that this whole second set was going to involve the alien invasion, but they saved that for the third story with the first one tangentially related to it. The second story didn't seem to be related at all.
Overall it was quite enjoyable and if they come up with a new storyline I'll be onboard.
