I only bought his new album literally 48 hours ago...absolutely gutted.

innovative until the end.
the new album is certainly not the sound of a man resting on his (considerable) laurels.
he will be very greatly missed

Sad to hear of David Bowies passing at just 69, he was a great music artist who effortlessly adapted to the times, i have most of his albums on CD & can't think of a album he made that was below par.
My favourite song of his is China Girl.
Thanks for the great music over six decades, rest now David.

I really couldn't believe it when I heard this morning. Genuinely choked up about it. Was only listening to Space Oddity last night. He was one of a kind, and the world just seems a little less special without him in it. But we'll always have his music.

Farewell, David Bowie. Wherever you are now, may they enjoy your music there as much as we all did here.

a real talent gone far too soon, he never seemed to get old in his music and unlike other "music icons" never rested on his back catalogue.
lets dance, a best of and the soundtrack to labyrinth (along with Depeche Mode and Michael Jackson) were the sound track to my teenage years.
also he was the grown up little boy in The Snowman, which seems to have been cut from airing these days.
may he continue to inspire both in this world and the next!

I am still reeling from this news, really. He kept his illness a secret so well. Now we look at the lyrical content of Blackstar, it's clear what it was about - how brave of him. And how unthinkable he has been taken so young. 69 is nothing these days. Looking at his musical contempories - he's not only head and shoulders above them, he's in a different universe. I've been listening to his stuff virtually non-stop since the very sad news. His passing is such a huge loss, but he will never truly die because he has left such a legacy of innovation.
