This looks exceptionally bad, even by the (very low) standards of Doctor Who games. Like they couldn't even get the rights for voice clips or music from the show? That trailer's almost physically painful to watch.
Though I guess it's kind of impressive just how committed they are to never even trying to make a Telltale-style adventure game.

It’s immensely…. Dull. Somehow… they made Doctor Who… dull. I mean “…and the mines of terror” is utterly unlike Doctor Who and has all the plot you can fit on a postage stamp and leave room for a limerick. But it’s not BORING.

The music is rather cathartic though.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

As a game it’s not much: pretty much identical to the same studio’s games about Lower Decks, The Office and Trailerpark Boys, but the detail and continuity hooks have kept me playing somewhat sporadically over the last few months. The pacing is a bit off: you can get through some levels in a matter of hours while others may take weeks but I’ve enjoyed all the nods to the show’s past history: Sil is the character who tries to sell you things, Tala from Underworld is a minor character and the P7 E is one of the games settings, there’s appearances from a lot of Doctors and many companions… it’s not brilliant but it does feel like it has been put together by people with a knowledge of the show.
