Listened to the first two. This series continues to impress and Safiyya is undoubtedly the highlight. It’s everything I love about Big Finish; original companions crafting its own tenure that perfectly encapsulates and honours the era it’s slotting into. The hints towards the unfolding story in All’s Fair are very intriguing.

Another brilliant set in this series, quite funny that my favourite thing Big Finish are doing at the moment is with a Doctor I don't particularly care for, but hey it's nice to be surprised in that way and I'm very excited for the final set

Can anyone comment as to whether the video spoils anything from this set? I've listened to their first 2 sets, but holding out on this one for a bit.

So...any good theories as to who {Spoiler} Hendrick's consultant (who is apparently NOT a Time Lord) and the phone woman (Who MAY be the consultant but I don't think so since Hendricks referred to the consultant in All's Fair as a "he") are before the final boxset in Feb? I honestly can't figure it out!

Sins of the Flesh is excellent. There’s no messing around, this is the Cybermen performing conversion therapy on behalf of parents who disapprove of their children being gay. The perfect concept for our pairing of the Doctor and Valerie, giving them both the appropriate platform to voice their disgust; Dudman and Ingar relish the opportunity and run away with it. The thought of putting a child through that is disgusting, but to add the Cybermen into the mix really show just how monstrous of an idea it is. The Doctor’s outrage towards the end and Valerie’s constant comments just reinforce that all the more.
The Cybermen themselves are well utilised. I think it was a good idea to use the Cybus style versions, not only to be era authentic, but because we’ve seen those variants as part of the conversion process more than any other. I liked the hints that Valerie formed the variants we see in Nightmare in Silver, down to the abilities they show in that story.
Terrific set, one of the best from Big Finish this year. Can’t wait to see how it all concludes, especially with the hints of the unfolding arc Everywhere and Anywhere has shown.

Based on eps 1 and 2 from this set it already makes my Top 5 sets of the year. It's definitely my Top Doctor centric set of the year, only challenged by River Song Friend of the Family and the two War Master sets.

Spirit of the Season was a great bit of demented Christmas themed Who.
All’s Fair is everything that’s good about this run. It’s daring, it’s new and it’s downright touching.
All in all this is just some damn good drama. And now to see what this creative team can do with the Cybermen…

The entire run with this Tardis team has been some of the best output BF has had in years. I'm dreading the next set becuase we now know what it will lead to. The worst part of Jacob Dudman leaving is that we won't be hearing anymore of Valarie. She is arguably the best original Big Finish companion since Evelyn. She may have even surpassed my beloved Lucie Miller. Safiyya Ingar continues to shine with every new story.

So sad to see Jacob Dudman leaving after completing this glorious run.
I wish him well with his future career. Who knows, in a few years time perhaps he'll be tempted back to Big Finish.
It'll be strange if we get Matt Smith working for Big Finish, because he'll have a tough job following in Jacob's footsteps!

Still wondering who the "Consultant" could be.

Started on this last night. First story- Spirit of the Season: This reminded me a lot of the TV episode with the Minotaur and the ventriloquist dummies. Even down to the theme of the entity feeding on some kind of emotion. Well performed, and parts of it were pretty emotional and tragic. Valarie is really put through a lot! However, I found the villain slightly annoying.

All's Fair- Well, I will be honest, I found this story pretty confusing and was lost half-way through. I admit, I did not have my full attention to it, however. All I took away from it was a bit of a timey-whimey run-around, where people die (or not?). I think I have to listen to this again with more attention to it, to cast a final judgement.

Sins of the Flesh- well, critisism out of the way first- I thought the metaphor of "curing" gay people by having them go though a religious cult conversion was very much on the nose. Some people might like this, but it is not my cup of tea. I am a bit tired of the "religious people are idiots" card. I come from a very religious family, by the way, and while I have a bit of a complicated relationship with my family, I do not think they are retards. And yes, I am aware of some extreme cases in the US- maybe this was meant to emulate that. Right, that out of the way, the performances were great. It is a well paced Cyberman story, but apart from the "healing gay people conversion" there is not much original about it, it plays out as the usual Cyberman story.
Concluding remarks on this set: I am sorry that I have to rain on everybody's parade here, but for me, this set was just good average. None of the stories really thrilled me.
The best about this run of stories is indeed Valarie and her relationship with the Doctor. Her character and the banter (and serious discussions!) is what really makes this Tardis team work for me. Even if these stories were nothing to write home about for me, at least Valarie made up for it. They should find a way to somehow keep Valarie on board with BF. They made it possible for Charley to pop up everywhere, and even Liv has shown her face in several places. There is to hope that Valarie has some more life beyond this series.

Gay conversion is something that happens within several faiths, and to highlight the issues with that is very bold from Big Finish.

As a sexually fluid Christian I can confirm there are lots of faith settings that are open and welcoming to everyone. I'm not against calling out the bigots, but a more balanced view of religion would be nice to see.

When I say I come from a religious family, people automatically assume my German family is the same as the idiots in the US. I do not consider these people religious per se- I have read the bible (I had an A+ in religious studies in school, yes, in Bavaria this is a valid class IN PUBLIC SCHOOL). The fundamentalists in the US are just that, fundamentalists, that even ban the parts of the bible where Jesus is to friendly to people they would not like in real life. That is NOT what the Christian faith is about.
But my father is less fire and brimstone (he is also a SOCIALIST waving red flags!) he is more of the kind who drives his tractor and trailer all around the region with apple trees to plant on Luther's day.
So everyone walking past the trees in the future will be able to eat an apple for free and read the plaque about Luther.
All my gay and lesbian friends were always welcome to bring along when I studied.
The representation shown here is tiresome.

There is a BIG difference between what you call "religious" people (I think you mean bigots) and REAL religious people like my dad. I would LOVE to finally see a story which presents the difference.
Putting them both in the same bag is EXACTLY the same thing religious bigots are doing with the people they do not like.
What BF does here is not "bold" but ignorant.
