Ok, literally just finished this story.. I must have mentally "wandered off" for a minute, I need to go back to the 1st 15 mins.. Nothing "major" happens.
I want to believe that listening to all 8(?) will amount to something greater as a whole compared to individually..
I don't hate these stories, I don't love them- i just enjoy them..

I have enjoyed the other releases in Once and Future as they have just been a bit of fun. Completely disposable, but fun whilst I was listening. Packed with returning characters who could have otherwise never met.
But that wasn’t the same for Two’s Company, because Big Finish decided to do something Big and introduce a new incarnation of an existing character. So this release should have been important. The story mattered more than some interactions between past and future companions.
Simply my biggest issue with this release is the inclusion of The Two.
I have to wonder why they did it. If it was to introduce new or occasional listeners to the character, either the Nine, Eleven or Twelve would have fitted this series better.
Regardless of the fit for Once and Future, I have been looking forward to hearing more incarnations of the Collective (or Multiple or whatever term you prefer for this Time Lord). I think (s)he is one of Big Finishes best creations.
As we have only previously heard later incarnations I was hoping that the earlier versions might offer something different.
Just like when Big Finish announced James Dreyfus as an early version of the Master I was hoping that we might witness his evolution to evil. But no. In the Destination Wars he was the same old Master, just with a different voice.
Disappointedly it was the same with this release, but with The Two.
And I didn’t find the Two charming in any way.

Its interesting that the One seems to be worse, he seemed to have caused problems before leaving Gallifrey, The Two being more reasonable and accepting of help. I always assumed the One was a boring politician who went Renegade after his illness started.

I have not yet listened to the 41 min of extended extras interviews or 10 minutes music suite that we get in the special edition. I appear to have enjoyed the story more than most so far. The Doctor is actually trying to solve his situation. He investigates one clue this time and The One (inside The Two) gives him a clue to investigate for next time. I got the feeling that River might have set Jackie up with Christina, but I presume we'll find out more down the line. I'm not sure who is responsible for Jackie getting the necklace, though. I think The Two spent all of his charm on Harry, which is how he was so easily manipulated. As aussiedoctorwhofan says, I think that this and some of the others may be better as part of the whole picture. ------------------ Just starting the extended interviews. If find it quite interesting that Lisa McMullin says that she was "allocated" The 6th Doctor, Lady Christina, Jackie, Harry, and The Two. She then had to come up with a story to fit. I didn't recall hearing the name of the person who set Jackie up with Christina, but Lisa M says (at about 9:00 in) it was someone named Melody with curly hair - that appears to clinch that. At about 26:30 they discuss how they came up with the mixes of characters. Lots of celebration about the 60th anniversary also in the interviews. Quite enjoyable hearing from them.

Well, it is fun, and it is well performed. But It is too many different characters thrown together for my taste. None of them has any time to breathe! I also think there is not really a lot of substance to this, sadly. But it got a few laughs out of me, so that is a bonus.

Interesting a newer Review and generally matching the consensus view points (both positive and negative)

Well, I certainly didn't dislike this release. When taken on it's own, it was a bit of a fun runaround however there are definite flaws.
Jackie came across a bit too exaggerated, would have liked to have seen more emotion - maybe some of what we got in Love and Monsters.
Christina feels forced into the story, really doesn't add a lot including a character that has yet to have her experience with the Doctor. Which is a shame as I'm a big fan of her second series and would love to hear more of her.
Harry was fine but The Two was wasted. Some nice moments at the end but the story didn't have the time or space to really explore what it must be like to have discovered that your previous incarnations live on in your head. Maybe we'll get something more in future?
Finally, I think I just need to accept that the Degeneration was simply a way of using all these available characters without the continuity errors. Which is fine but I had got excited about what could have been an interesting arc and the more complex stuff that could have come with it.
Would only revisit all of the stories so far if I was listening back to the whole series.

Fresh up on CultBox, my take on 'Two's Company' - my take: doesn't take the Once and Future story forward, but it's lightweight fun.
