While it's unlikely for a few reasons, I think people would rightly march on the BBC if they were charged for the animation that's now in the hands of some fans if it turned out the Celestial Toymaker was recovered already! An evil move that only the Toymaker would play! Even he wouldn't play with Trading Standards!

Has anyone theorised that The one who waits is a reference to the fact that Susan has been waiting for the Doctor to return?
Depending on your continuity she's either been waiting since Big Finish’s 8th Doctor era or as far back as the Dalek Invasion of Earth.
She could be pretty pissed off considering the number of times the Doctor has regenerated since leaving her, with the promise of one day returning.

I'm getting a bit fed up with other things being queued waiting on the TV series to do something, or not. What does it matter if this or that character will appear on TV, or not. We've got 60+ years of material to access whenever; we can cope with overlaps and different points in different Doctors timelines and all that.
Especially, can we please have Jo Martin's first Fugitive Doctor audio sooner rather than later? We know it's waiting for release, so let's be having it!
I've had very limited experience with TV via my comics work but I know we had exclusivity periods. Where an actor wouldn't be allowed to take a similiar role for 24 months, and we couldn't write for a show or film for 12 months in case it was picked up. I don't think it's a coincidence Jo's Coda box is currently scheduled for almost exactly 2 years since her last TV appearance. Or that River's BF journey started when Moffat said she was, once and for all, done on TV. It's just brand management. Fair enough. I'm just a fan being impatient.

Whatever it is will presumably be an omnibus. 76 minute running time overall, assuming it’s longer opening and closing scenes with 15 & Ruby due to it getting a terrestrial showing and you’re left with 60-65 mins. Given the Sutekh rumours and the lack of Tom story during the original run, and Pyramids of Mars seems more and more feasible.
I’m surprised it’s on BBC Four and not BBC One or Two. It’s not a complaint, but feels strange to have something current and linked on that channel, especially when BBC Two airs plenty of archive telly too.
Lovely to see anyway, the “Whoniverse” element seemed to be emphasised in November and is becoming less relevant as the series goes on, so to bring it back in full force is great.

Pyramids of Mars. The homage to it in The Devil's Chord was getting us ready for Sutekh.

Surprising welcome considering (Toymaker aside) they've avoided past continuity so far. Regards mark687

So the New Tale from the TARDIS gets more mysterious www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0020crwWhy do a "season recap" between the last 2 Eps of a season plus its almost the length of 2 Eps itself? Regards mark687

It could be a bit of a fakeout as best they can do whilst revealing that it is a new Tales of the TARDIS and does involve Ncuti & Millie (note no mention of Bonnie despite being there in the memory TARDIS in the season trailer). There’s not been enough episodes for them to do a recap of that length and they’ve certainly not spent enough time together as a duo to do much reflection on what we’ve seen. They could always add new content, but it comes back to the question of why it’s on BBC Four and not Three (where Who is their most viewed show currently) or Two / One.
I’m still leaning that it’s in the format of TOTT we’ve seen previously, albeit with the current leads to bridge the gap between the final episodes. It just remains to be seen what the story is.

Good luck RTD. I have a feeling you're gonna need it I doubt S2 will be much different from this.

So none of these feature the Fourth Doctor which has still been passed over for the Tales of the Tardis series.
Neither do any of these feature Mel who is the only classic returning companion in the finale.
Though The Bells of St John does feature The Great Intelligence, who might be an Eternal like the Toy Maker. But we don't get Enlightenment which would be the more obvious tie in if that was the plot.
Also, still no Dodo

More lies then from RTD.
