Season 1
-S1's filming began in December. Xmas special and 8 eps. Transmission TBA in 2024.
-The Christmas special is titled 'The Church on Ruby Road'. Tonderai is directing it.
-Ncuti Gatwa is 15. Millie Gibson is 15's companion, Ruby Sunday. She's from Kensington, is a musician and is adopted.
-Anita Dobson is playing Ruby's neighbour, Mrs Flood. Michelle Greenidge has also been cast in a key role.
-Jinx Morrison will play a powerful villain with a musical theme.
-Jonathan Groff, Jack Foresyth Noble, Sophie Ablett, Mille Kent, Bhav Joshi, Eilidh Loan, Pete Machale (2nd trans actor in the new era), Miles Yekinni, Hemi Yeroham, Gemma Arrowsmith, Billy Brayshaw, Mary Malone (3rd trans actor), Majid Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy, Jonah Hauer-King, Shirley Ballas and Lenny Rush will also guest star.
-Mel Bush is returning, as is Rose Noble.
-Gatwa has outfit variants, two in an orange and brown scheme - a tweed and jumper look, and then a more 70s shirt and leather duster. The third is a snappy blue suit. Fourth is jeans and leather.
-RTD has already written several scripts. Episode 6 will be written by Kate Herron and Briony Redman. There are other writers on the series.
-Scott Handcock is script editing S14.
-Dylan Holmes Williams, Julie Anne Robinson, Ben Chessell and Jamie Donoghue are directing episodes of S1.
-Casting director Andy Pryor promises a commitment to diverse casting for the series going forward, with more roles for disabled & LGBT people.
-The show has a new brand manager to oversee marketing.
-The bronze Daleks will be discontinued in favour of a redesign. They will also not be in S1, nor the Cybermen.
-There'll be new major enemies, 'The Boss' and 'The One Who Waits'.
-More villains will be god-like beings.
-The 'Toymaker's legions' are coming.
-The series will lean more in a fantasy direction.
-Episode 1 will have a villain called 'The Duchess', played by Indira Varma.
-Episode 2 is titled 'The Devil's Chord'. Chessell directs.
-RTD has alluded to stories about climate change and environmentalism.
-Episode 3 will be more traditionaly sci-fi. Robinson directs.
-Episode 4 will feature a far right political party called Albion running for UK elections, headed up by a politician called Roger Ap Gwilliam, played by Aneurin Barnard. Kate & UNIT are investigating them, and Ruby is undercover.
-Episode 6 is set in the Regency period, with The Duchess returning. Chessell directs.
-Episode 7 is set in 1947, USA. Donoghue directs.
-An episode is set in the 1960s, possibly with Jinx's character. Abbey Road is visited, so Beatles are involved.
-One of the episodes features a figure in black robes in Tenby.
-One episode's title is derived from Star Trek.
-2 Part Episodes will return.
-S1 will feature a slug monster that 'hugs' humans. Possible mind control at play.
-There's a company called Finetime.
-An episode involves flying enemies who Mel and 15 chase on a moped.
-Spinoffs are in the work, under a BW subsidiary company called 'The War Between'. 3 scripts complete and hiring cast and crew.
Season 2
-Expected to air in May 2025.
-RTD already has begun work on S15, with a potential theme of 'ignorance and being in denial'. There will also be 5 more writers.
-S2 has another script editor, David Cheung.
-New Producer, Alison Sterling
-Chanya Button is returning to direct.
-Nicola Coughlan will guest star in 2024 Xmas Special.
-Filming began in September, with 15 wearing a jacket and kilt in Glasgow. Another costume is a long brown coat with a chequered design.
-An episode will feature protesting conspiracy theorists targeting UNIT.
-An episode written by RTD will be his most complex yet.
-Pete McTighe still wishes to continue working on the show in future, as do Mark Gatiss and Jamie Mathieson.
-Gatwa has expressed interest in a Who episode set in Africa, even dealing in Nigerian mythology. He would also like to face the Weeping Angels.
-Gibson has expressed interest in a Who episode set in Ancient Egypt.
-RUMOUR: S1 will air May 2024.
