Since it looks like this episode leads directly into The Giggle, what are our thoughts on possible Big Finish gaps for Fourteen? Doesn't seem to be any, unless Isaac Newton wasn't the only pit stop. I fail to see the point tbh given that its basically just 10. & these episodes are supposed to be anniversary specials so don't think squeezing in more adventures is necessary. The main gap seems to be between Destination Skaro and the Star Beast. I would imagine it'd need a great story idea to be worth utilising though.

DWM Issue 598 has on an set report Also its Comic Strip implies that the Issac bit was a result of A Time Squid getting in the damaged TARDIS and feeding off Donna in a desire to see Historic Battles. The Red Barron's last recorded Flight in WW1, Early Humanity, 1066 Hastings and Harrold before he lost the Eye, And because its Donna and its near Xmas, a Morecambe and Wise Show and her own school Nativity Regards mark687

It's almost like the comic strip admitting that section of the show made no sense. I must admit I don't like having to depend on a comic strip to properly understand the TV show. Plus, the mavity thing really annoys me. The thought that Newton just randomly picked a word when developing his theory of gravity is nonsense. The latin gravitas, meaning weight, had been in common usage for hundreds of years and would be used by all scientists in Newton's time. Put simply, Newton did not name gravity, he formalised laws for how it worked. Can you imagine if they'd used Einstein instead and he ended up giving light a different name. It makes no sense. Rant over, normal service will now be resuned

I’m not keen on the whole Newton segment personally, but DWM isn’t a pre-requisite for understanding it. They just go through historic events and change history whilst they’re at it; it’s dialling up what we see on screen, but nothing more. If you’re not a fan to begin with, then you’re likely not going to be won over by the comic.
