Hopefully its quality will be like fifth doctor forty 2 and not like once and future.

I really hope this is good. I used to relish the 6th Doctor releases but ever since Waterworld they have been a real chore to listen to.
Fingers crossed this will right the ship!

Very happy to see Lisa Greenwood back and I do like all three writers involved - they've all written at least one story I'd happily give a 10/10. I'm conflicted about the idea of the set though. On the one hand, I absolutely think 40 years of Ol'Sixie is worth celebrating. Not to be morbid, but Colin Baker is getting up there in age and there's no telling whether he'll be able to do 50 years of the Sixth Doctor ten years from now. I'd rather we celebrate the milestones while we can instead of looking back and wondering "what if..."
But on the other hand, I have to admit I'm a little worn down by all these celebratory and anniversary releases too. Especially after 'Once and Future' let me down, I'm feeling a lot more cynical about these kind of releases than I used to.

Another big celebration release??? & what a cringe title. But nice to see Flip (Lisa Greenwood) back.

I agree, I'm hoping Big Finish start recording more in advance with the older doctors because as you said, not to be morbid but it's an unfortunate truth they won't be around forever. I'm definitely looking forward too it though I do worry it could be another O+F

A titular parody of "The Twin Dilemma" and a sequel to "Timelash" ? Really? That's how you celebrate old Sixie?

Sounds interesting! The title is "The Quin Dilemma", not "The Quinn Delemia".
Edit: It's not "Dalmia" either.

We all know Tom is roughly 6-7 years in advance of his recordings..

I rather like the core idea, some mad old potentate decides to use the Doctor as the “dragon” his sons needs to slay in order to rise to the throne and by luck or misfortune he ends up targeting ol’ sixie. It’s a bit like one of the side plots of Stardust with the sons Primus and Secundus etc … and more Miranda Raison is never, ever a bad thing. And six stories for the sixth Doctor, makes a nice thematic sense. And did I miss it … or are the overused pepper pots not in the set?

Did I read we're getting 4 x the 6th Doctor colliding by the end of this set? That's 4 x more than we got of the 7th Doctor in his last!
I'm hopeful this one will break the trend and I will not be dissapointed like Once and Future and The Last Day.

To be honest I’m a bit too burnt out on celebrations to consider this right now. The main ideas of a celebration of Sixie’s life and mixing together multiple versions of him from different eras also aren’t firsts.
Maybe reviews and a bit of distance from all the recent events storylines will shift things in future.

It might be the fact that I've had a couple of glasses of wine this evening but there we go, a 6th Doctor boxset I am (finally) interested in getting round to pre-ordering!

Having looked at the blurb on the BF site, seeing who the writers are, and remembering how great 'The Last Adventure' was, I have faith.
It sounds a lot of fun, Flip & Constance are back, Sixie will deliver for sure! and I am most definitely pre-ordering.
Especially having seen the other thread and the VERY restricted printing. Call me old-fashioned but I like CDs!

Allready seems to have enough without him but it's a shame Frobisher doesn't seem to be in Sixies 40th

The main ideas of a celebration of Sixie’s life and mixing together multiple versions of him from different eras also aren’t firsts. But having them actually interact could be fun.
