Ah I see, I misunderstood then ! I have not yet listened to The Last Day and am not planning on doing so for a while after all the reviews I read on the forum so don't worry, I understand.

So I'm trying to figure out what the big draw would be about purchasing a "collector's edition" CD. It's just a CD, as far as I can tell, except that they are doing a limited printing (as it appears they started doing recently). No extras or anything like that. In which case, I will just buy the download.
I'll definitely buy it cause it's Benny. But I'll stick with downloads. (I have original series 1-11 as CDs and still not sure where I'll store them in my new smaller dwelling.

That phrase is just there as a way of explaining the very limited nature of the CD pressings these days - they’re aimed at a relatively small audience of collectors, while most people just buy the downloads. Honestly, it feels a little misleading, though, it’s not like films or albums come out on “collectors edition” CDs and BluRays in their standard versions.

I understand why they use the word "collectors edition" but it does not fit the definition of what a collectors edition usually is. Which makes it misleading full stop. In my opinion, obviously. It's immaterial for me since I don't usually buy CDs anyway, unless it's an actual collectors edition with extras I'm interested in. That happens very rarely. I used to buy collectors editions more, but the per order and shipping costs these days generally make it way too expensive for me

Yeah I guess physical media in general is becoming more for collectors. But it is a bit misleading. Its just a limited CD release.
Looking forward to this either way.

There are a handful of stories I'd love to see genuine collectors editions for. Like, imagine if they came with a physical copy of the script, and/or a booklet covering some behind-the-scenes details, interviews, etc. (basically, BTS stuff in greater depth than the 10-minute audio tracks we usually see). Or, for some stories -- like, say, Jubilee or Spare Parts -- retrospectives on how they've shaped future audio and even TV stories.
