Oh that’s a pleasant surprise; I’d assumed we were never getting a follow-up to that cliffhanger.
The titles sound like it’s leaning a lot more into the irreverent side of the series, which is gives this range a nice identity compared to everything else on the Big Finish roster these days.

I get the impression Georgia calls the shots as far as her involvement with BF goes - and given her connection to 2 of the Doctors I'd say BF want to keep her on side. Likely a case of what Georgia wants, Georgia gets. And if she wants her mate Sean Biggerstaff, well then . . . . . |

This announcement isn't doing it for me unfortunately. I bought the first set because I was excited about Jenny and the second one primarily for the Cyber story.
Both sets were very average and when you have releases like Dark Gallifrey, 11DC and the incredible recent 5DA which sound great and actually deliver - that's where I'm putting my money.
But. As always, I will keep an eye out on reviews.

Not for me personally, I never really connected with Jenny, and after that atrocious story neon reign in her first set, I haven’t followed her appearances at all except when she’s turned up in the anniversary sets.
Still, the lack of Christian brassington bodes well for the writes, so if the reviews are good, perhaps when there’s a good sale I might consider it.
Still, I hope that this set does well for all the fans of the range.

What was so bad about that story? In a nutshell, rampant sexism. Women are drugged and kept I. Their place because they are the under class and don’t deserve better. Men reign supreme. Only the big twist is that it’s actually a woman running the society actually and she’s keeping men propped up for reasons. Honestly, it makes Prison in Space and Mission to Magnus look like high art. |

Honestly, it makes Prison in Space and Mission to Magnus look like high art. Hang on, it's a while since I heard it and vowed I would never listen to it again.
But as I remember it, it's the men who are all drug addicts and without exception laze around leeching off the women of that society, who not only have to look after the men but do all the other work as well. To me the sexism seemed to be a straight message that all men are bad and lazy and all women are wonderful and hard-working; it didn't come across as satire though I assume it must have been.
'Prison in Space' was clearly satire (and at least intended to be comedy) and even in the 1960s they decided not to make it! So we got 'The Krotons' instead.  'Mission to Magnus' has Sil who's always brilliantly horrid, "Morgo be praised!"  but that's it for that story.
'Trying too hard to make a point' is the most charitable excuse I could offer for 'Neon Reign'. Pity, the other stories were very good, but including this one made me feel like an unwanted listener to the range.
