Just finished up Breaking Bubbles on the drive to work.
It’s a nice little fluff piece, and I think it certainly benefits from the half hour run time of an anthology.
It’s nice seeing Peri’s botanical being acknowledged, though it isn’t particularly relevant this time around. (Though I will admit, terror of the Vervoids being the story immediately after Peri is written out will never stop being funny to me).
Breaking Bubbles is never going to reach the heights of stories like Jubilee or the First Sontarans, but it doesn’t need to. It’s just a light fluffy listen that doesn’t outstay its welcome.

An interesting one this
On its face its another anthologies showcasing different styles of story. the charming honesty of A Curious Incident included. however before that there is An Eye for Murder
An Eye for Murder is one of the best recounting and incorporation of a Historical Event into a story ever, it starts of as one thing, The Event happens [one of the best scenes BF have ever done BTW], the tone of the EP completely changes and becomes a raw observation of how the group absorbs its immediate and future ramifications.

Breaking Bubbles is an interesting one to have ended up with as the anthology of this run. It’s a nice serving of four mini slices of Who, none of which really set the world on fire but each have a nice concept that is well executed.

Enjoyable - each story is tight, interesting and well suited to the short story format
