There's a vocal crowd actively hoping for this movie to fail. I just don't understand Star Wars fans anymore. Some people are never happy. I'm glad I'm a Whovian rather than a Star Wars fan as I feel we are often a more sensible and mature fan base than many other fandoms. Screen Junkies (going strong post-Signore) have awarded Star Wars fandom the Make Your Mind Up screenie (it's their awards show) because they can't decide whether they want the same or different from previous Star Wars films. You think Empire is best, rewatch that and quit complaining about Force Awakens and Last Jedi.

I like their videos with Dan Murrell and Roth Cornet about the box office; Dan Murrell has to be one of the most intelligent YouTubers around, and I know that's not saying a lot with some of the stuff on there.

When they talked about the Razzies, they had some jabs at the recent nominees and how the panel decided what to nominate. Mother! getting worst director was panned, as was Zac Efron for worst actor in Baywatch.

Mother! getting worst director was panned, as was Zac Efron for worst actor in Baywatch. The problem with the Razzies is that sometimes it feels like there's no thought put into it. It's just 'Let's nominate that person because he was in a terrible movie' or 'That film was too confusing, so let's give the director a nomination even though that may have been his intention'. It also feels a bit mean-spirited, because nobody sets out to make a bad movie.

True, but in some cases it's a franchise where there's been plenty of opportunity to improve the artistic merit and it's not taken. The Twilight films, and Transformers for example.

You only have to look at the reaction to the 2016 female Ghostbusters to see how much worse the anti-female Doctor side of fandom could have been. There's been bowhere near the same level of venemous behaviour as some Ghostbusters fans displayed towards Melissa McCarthy and co. Every fandom has a mixture of good and bad people, and I like to think we are largely made up of kind and caring individuals who wish Jodie Whittaker the best of look in her time as the Doctor.

We are no different I haven't seen any threats or abuse being sent to Chris Chibnall and Jodie Whittaker like with Paul Feig and the female Ghostbusters cast.

As much as I'd like to believe that's because the Who fandom is better than such things, I suspect it's just because neither Chibnall nor Whittaker are on Twitter.

Peter Davison was hounded off twitter!!! He was. What was it some 'whovian' said about RTD's rebooted Doctor Who back in 2005? Something about RTD 'raping his childhood?' Hardly the words of a sensible and mature fanbase. And let's not get started on the way JNT was treated. Fans turning up to attend his talks at conventions, only to whip out copies of The Sun and start reading them when he got on stage. Nothing to be too proud of there.

The predecessor for Gallifrey Base actually closed because of the reaction to Christopher Eccelson being cast.

Who's in more films at the moment I wonder: Josh Brolin or Chris Pratt? They both seem hugely in-demand currently.

Deadpool introducing Cabal trailer, freaking hilarious.
Venom, bland teaser with no actual Venom.
