Doctor Who The Moons of Vulpana - very mixed views, but still really liking the 7th/Mags combo
Companion Chronicles The Child - I couldn’t take to this at all, and bailed out after a number of minutes. This was the second time I’ve tried to listen to it! Just not my thing. Thankfully I bought it cheaply in a sale ...

The Scream of Ghosts. It's not nearly as fantastic as Primord, but it's still a pretty great story in a pretty great range. The addition of the Brigadier just adds so much to these stories and I was absolutely thrilled to have Benton back as well. I just hope that now we've got them, we don't lose them all in the next Third Doctor boxset - but I'll probably end up buying it anyways just the same!

I'm sort of continuing with my relisten to stories I've never managed to finish.
Next up, The Gathering.

Muse of Fire. Hex and Iris are wonderful together. A story that makes me smile. What more could you want?
And I am pretty sure the Doctor knows what is going on from the beginning....

An ok is a 6 out of 10 in my book, and even with some quite good elements like the radio and TV broadcasts and a spooky graveyard it was just ok. I may try Nocturne next but I'm not sure I'm in the mood for more just-above-average at the mo.

The Third Doctor Adventures Volume 3. I'll be honest, if this was the only one I had heard, I wouldn't bother with the series. Moving onto 4 once I finish Storm of the Horofax

I just started 4 and I can just HEAR the difference in quality.

All opinions welcomed, we're not Daleks, but I thought Vol 3 was brilliant and the best by far (until I heard the magnificent new Vol 5.)
(Yes I am hopelessly biased in favour of all things Third Doctor of course, but within that I still try to be relative )

(Yes I am hopelessly biased in favour of all things Third Doctor of course, but within that I still try to be relative ) I'm not quite as biased about the Third Doctor as the Fourth (probably an understatement) but thought Vol 1 of the 3DAs was brilliant, and each one after in the range is better than the one before. You can probably guess pretty easily then how much I've liked the last two especially.

10DAs Vol 3 (so far)
No Place - loved it but than I do love a good ghost story so this one was a given. Plus Wilf!
One Mile Down - glug, glug, glug. And it didn't come up again despite Donna's shoes and (only) one guest character who was a delight.

I keep going back to the same stories, and today's was Sword of Orion (the other regulars are Phantasmagoria, Whispers of Terror, The Spectre of Lanyon Moor and Night Thoughts).

Well, Sword of Orion is very good and also among my favorites. I do not really understand why it scores so lowly on several online review sites.
The market scene in the beginning alone is awesome.
