Finally finishing off Blood on Santa's Claw. *scratches brow* You know, I kept getting sidetracked halfway through "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" because, er, well... We kept jetting from one Christmas party to another. Irony? What's that taste like? Oh, well. Better late than never. *blows party horn* Just thinking though, among the streamers, poppers and crackers... Has the Sixth Doctor's coat ever been in more natural an environment than a Christmas party?

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

TW The Office of Never Was
Creepy and atmospheric (again!) TW. Gareth David-Lloyd is excellent - Ianto is solo for part of the time which is difficult on audio but it works really well. And of course it gets darker and then... {Spoiler} Oh that ending - big surprise; Ianto always seems such a nice guy! Ruthless or what?!

The Rapture
Well, that was a weird one. Took me several more days than I thought to finally churn my way through it. The setting and the rave culture is definitely something different. It's also an excursion into the relatively recent past, another rarity. So points for that. Even if it just wound up making me think of this: I do like that they brought up the events of Colditz and Dust Breeding, but while I'm not opposed to exploring Ace's issues (or those of any companion really), it has been done before. In theory, I think it can be fine way to humanize and add a little depth to the character. But in Rapture's case I found it unengaging. It wasn't annoying, not in comparison to the other source of drama in this story, but it didn't hit home as much as I would have liked. Liam as the out of nowhere soap opera secret brother, that was just off. What the hell was the point of that? To tempt Ace to stay? Could've done that in many, less ridiculous, ways that aren't so maudlin they're funny. Don't really rate the rest of the guest cast either. Well, except Gustavo. He seemed like an alright guy. I wonder if Ace ever makes good on her Hartnell-esque promise that one day, she shall come back. I noticed when Katrina's tripping she hears the Doctor's voice going on about the Sandman. Set-up for next story, I guess? Overall, it wasn't as bad as some of the real garbage this franchise has produced, but it's firmly on the C-List. I found myself growing disinterested quickly, and I never really got back on board.

Adam Adamant Lives! 1.1 What Place Is This?
A strong start to the series. I can see what was kept from the original (and why) as well as what was changed from the original (and why).
The only downside is that Georgina has only a small role in the first episode, but there is so much to do in the pilot episode that not everything will fit. And the ending teases more character development in the next episode.
I would like to see Big Finish release an interview video with the cast. Some of them I know from their other work, but some have no Wikipedia page and almost nothing on IMDB either. I'm curious to know what previous work some of them have done.

‘Oh No, It Isn’t!’
“Oh yes, it is!”
Sorry..I just couldn’t resist.
Perhaps one of the best audios Big Finish has to offer and so early in their catalogue as well. Not sure how well this would come across to the international crowd, perhaps unfamiliar with panto, but I thought it was a wonderful and loving ode to the theatrical tradition. Pure unadulterated fun and there’s nothing wrong with that. Would highly recommend. Top marks all around.

Adam Adamant Lives! 1.1 What Place Is This?
Excellent, and in style both like and unlike what I'd expected.
Great writing from Guy Adams, top BF sound design - and Blake Ritson is brilliant as Adam. Next episode tonight!

I thought it was blooming awful, and that's coming from someone who likes Nekronamtia! 😂 I didn't know anybody liked that one. But yeah, I can easily see how Rapture would drive someone up the wall, I think I was just lucky I was too bored to care that much.

To answer your question on the international crowd (Canadian) I found the whole thing very annoying for the most part. I like plenty of British comedy, but panto and I just don't mix.
