At the end of the preview of series 11 in DWM they write...
...his (the Master) influence will last beyond these four new episodes. "The Master has allowed us to take the series off into a new direction," David (Richardson I presume) reveals, "which perhaps won't become apparent until Series Twelve - but there is a major shift that's coming during the course of Eleven, in terms of one of the characters..."
Did anyone else read that and wonder what in the Worlds of Doctor Who have Big Finish got planned for Jago & Litefoot!?

Yes it arrived in the post yesterday - I actually assumed it was late seeing as it usually arrives on a Wednesday, but looking at the release date in the previous magazine I can see it has in fact arrived early, which explains your question and the fact that I haven't finished reading the last one as yet!!

my thoughts on series 12 and beyond are I think they will move them to a new time zone, otherwise why would they have newer encountered vastra & co or indeed be involved in the 11th adventures with them, or torchwood too.

Still not hopeful for Quicke's survival. I'm also thinking that either Jago Jnr is genuinely his son and changes the dynamics that way or isn't and inspires both men to look to their legacies.

My thoughts were that Quicke will go evil - hence the "major shift ... to one of the characters", but I can not see that working in the long term even if he has been infused with the evil spirit of the Master and I hope that we don't get Jago, Litefoot and Jago Jnr. Look what happened when they tried something similar in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls! I am both intrigued and slightly concerned by the hints and comments coming out regarding the future of Jago & Litefoot.

That only went balls up because of the sheer lack of chemistry between Ford and La Beef and the later's stunning lack of talent.

Don’t tell me that something will happen to Sacker, again? Do you mean to say that Sacker is alive and well, as of Series 10?

Well, those of us who listened to Series 11 know what this quote was all about: Ellie being a full-fledged vampire again. Who knows how this affects the Sixties arc from Season 5. Or even if they remember the Sixties arc at this point. Or if any things have been considered.

I don't follow the series closely but I too thought The vampirism was cured in Series 5 did future Ellie not go back to the 1890's? If not then 1890s Ellie is still a vampire, though is this first mention/ indication of it from Series 6 till now?

With regard to the sixties arc, I think it's basically been established that they have forgotten most of the details but just remember odd hints (such as feeling that they'd met Aubrey before in series 9).

{SPOILER: Click to show} I think Ellie's vampirism was cured at the end of series 2, wasn't it? The one side-effect being that she doesn't age, which is why she's still around in the 1960's. The future Ellie in the 1960s was one who had lived through all the intervening years. She stayed there at the end of the series, she didn't come back to the 1890s with Jago and Litefoot. Otherwise there would have been two of her.

I'm sure everyone involved remembers season 5. Sometimes I forget that it's still the same production team from the beginning. The only thing that made me wonder was Litefoot telling his old friend that he had travelled places she wouldn't believe, as of he knew he'd been to Venus and the past.

I do hope the "big change" is Jago Jnr, even if he's not biologically Jago's son Henry adopting him as his ward and heir would change things up.

In Masterpiece, the Master says Ellie had: ‘a metabolic anomaly that has been crudely corrected’. I do hope it is corrected again. Hopefully they won’t mess up the sixties arc continuum, do not say it never happened…

I'd like them to cross with some Doctors other than 4 or 6. I think a very dark story with the 7th or War would be good.
