So I am currently reading Original Sin and it is becoming one of my favorite VNAs but I'm nervous about how John Dorney is going to adapt it especially as there aren't many things you can cut out.

John Dorney is a awesome writer, check out his seamless transition of Lost Story Foe From The Future, i think he wrote the final episode from scratch & it fitted seamlessly into the overall storyline.
I have no doubts John Dorney will deliver yet another excellent adaptation.

I have no doubt at all that Dorney will knock it out the park. He's not let us down yet.

You're all very kind.
I hope you all enjoy it. I found the process relatively painless.

I don't automatically buy all of the novel adaptations. I haven't read many of the books, so I just pick and choose based on the story details that BF release. So far there has only been one that I preordered, and that was Damaged Goods. I am now going to pre-order this story due solely to the fact that it is being adapted by Mr. Dorney. I will buy everything that this man writes, sight unseen.

But from the few things I know about this book and with both Andy Lane and John Dorney behind it, I'm sold. Sold here meaning "I bought all eleven of them over a year ago".

I've actually just got the book as I'm starting to get the originals of what BF have adapted. So I am looking forward to this.

The book was and still is the BEST example of 'Who does grand space opera'. It is simply fantastic, the scope, the various settings, name it. Roz's introduction is still my hands down absolute favorite for a companion in any media. She ise fully fleshed out by the end of the novel unlike so many other companions (staring speciically at you Trix....)

Well to be honest, the entire end of 8's novel run was a bit of a cluster**** . Once it was revealed that the editors wanted the Daleks to be behind it all but Nation's Estate wouldn't allow it they had to scramble and it shows. The arc wandered all over the place. The Gallifrey Chronicles did a decent job wrapping most up though (or as best it could).

Just looking at that cover and honestly it looks better than the actual book cover which had way too much nature in the background. Sadly Chris doesn't look as much of a teddy bear as he is supposed to.

Chris still doesn't look like a teddy bear Well he does revert to human appearance before the end of the novel. The book cover made no sense as it was obviously a scene from early in the story, when he definitely should have been a teddy bear.

I am having such fun imagining how people who have no idea of the context behind the Chris teddy bear thing reading this thread. That's me. And you are correct. Just prior to the start of the story Chris got a Body Bepple (a sort of temporary genetic makeover) to make him look like a giant teddy bear. Partway through the story he's seriously burned and the Bepple wears off, restoring him to his usual self as seen on the cover. The scene depicted on the cover of the novel takes place while Chris has the Bepple, yet he's shown without it. Having a giant teddy bear manhandle the Doctor would not be the most surreal cover from the New Adventures. Timewyrm: Revelation has the Doctor dancing with a skeleton on the Moon, with a church and an astronaut in the background (and this actually happens in the novel). Conundrum has to be seen to be believed.
