I'm not sure if you're wanting to take things off as well, but: Nightstalker as it turns out is Diary of River Song Series 6. I think it was meant to be The Talents of Weng-Chiang, but the point is the name clearly changed. I think we can conclude Driving Miss Julie was perhaps meant to be Driving Miss Wells. And of course, The Donna Noble Boxset There was never a story called ‘Nightstalker’ as it happens... Always be wary of making assumptions with incomplete information... In fairness, that appeared as the title on an actor's CV, so presumably it was an error/something lost in communication on behalf of their agent.

Which is why I would always advise never having too black and white a reading of these things.

From the Livestream More 4th Doc news in next weeks DWM Regards mark687 So, what are we thinking? More news on Series 9 and 10? The next Philip Hinchcliffe Presents? Surely not the announcement of Series 11 (Or 12... or 13... or 14... or...)

A preview clip from what can only be The Ravencliff Witch has just been played on the livestream, confirming (as widely suspected) it is a Fourth Doctor story.

Do I read this right that BF is doing a story with 13 in it before her TV tenure ends? I had always been under the impression that they couldn't use current Doctors, but now I can't recall if that was ever confirmed as part of the contract.

David Richardson is answering questions on the livestream chat at the moment - no earth-shattering revelations, but "no immediate plans" for more incarnations of the Eleven although he thinks it'd be fun to complete the set. Also no plans for Frobisher at the moment.

I hope that means they're getting Ian McNiece to come back! I quite enjoyed the Churchill Years sets and would be happy to see him reprise the role, even if it's just an appearance in another range rather than a new box set of his own.

Agreed - they're not going to replace someone who's done the role on telly and had his own boxsets - he's got the role as long as he wants it. I could see though, and maybe this is what Digi means, is a different era Churchill, say when he was a reporter during the Boer War. There are a lot of periods of Churchill's life that would make great drama (some quite dark ones that I doubt BF would touch) that could need a younger man in the role. Ian's great but I'm not sure he could pull off the 20-something Churchill! Didn't they do a younger Winston? I've only heard the first box and may be making this up!

If they did in Series 1, I don't remember it - I remember the girl from the Matt Smith Wardrobe ep nursing him after his post WW2 stroke, young Michael Gambon/Kasran and Eleven taking him to Rome....enjoying most of it. Then I downloaded Series 2 the day it came out....and have never listened to one second. Which is a reflection on my backlog more than any ill-will towards the range!

It was indeed Series 2 - the aptly-named episode "Young Winston".

Yes, in (appropriately enough) 2.1 'Young Winston' * by Paul Morris he's played by Iain Batchelor as a young man in Cuba, and then London seeking help from The Great Detective; a very convincing performance. Agree about a 'Boer War' story, where he was 'a journalist' but fought, was captured, escaped and made an amazing hundred mile journey back to the British lines. He had huge luck to get away with it - maybe he had help we don't know about, yet... His early army life on the NW frontier and the Sudan was also filled with drama, but this would be one of those periods that as Davy says would be too dark - at least too dark to represent truly on audio; his writings don't attempt to hide the appalling hand-to-hand brutality of battles fought with swords and lances.

Ian McNeice is definitely back as Churchill. He mentioned he was doing a story with Sylvester a while back, so the livestream just confirms what he said.

From the Livestream Day 2 Greatest show in the Galaxy will get a Prequel AND a Sequel written by Stephen Wyatt 7th Doc will meet Churchill Regards mark687 Am in two minds about this... On the one hand, a prequel/sequel could be good and interesting - allowing Wyatt to flesh out the origins of the Psychic Circus and the aftermath of the story in the sequel. As Greatest Show was quite a good TV story (beginning of an improvement for the TV show in the 1980s I think - Season 25 is generally of a better standard), these could be quite good releases. On the other hand, I am concerned about 'sequel-itis' - there is more than a whiff of the Missing Adventures approach here with trying to 'revisit' TV stories (sequel to the Web Planet anyone?!) Surely, there is enough ideas out there for some new stories? I might be unduly pessimistic (and hope I am proved wrong) but it does worry me slightly when I see announcements like this...
