The only thing I've bought for Big Finish-mas was the Fourth Doctor story. I was somewhat tempted by some of the others, but I have my sights on certain stories I want to get sooner rather than later, mainly in the Doctor Who ranges. So saving my money for those stories. The others can wait for another time.

If we are counting the free download of Flip-Flop, so far i have EIGHT new stories to tuck in to from this festive sale.
And the first two Torchwood stories for £6, great stuff. Im also looking forward to the Runelords audio too.

Thanks for the 'More Than This' recommendations. I did consider getting this but felt the trailer was a little 'jokey'. I am probably almost entirely wrong about that. There's a good chance I'll end up getting all, if not most of these in the fullness of time because the ones I've heard so far have been excellent (I hadn't even heard of Dark Shadows before the the audios, so I blame Big Finish that I subsequently purchased everything I could to do with that show on the strength of the excellent audios - the same could very well happen with Torchwood). There are some funny parts but it's not treated as a joke as all. The story is very meaningful. I won't say more but definitely give it a listen. I wasn't a Torchwood on TV fan either but I love the audios. This is one of my favorites I've purchased 'More Than This' on the basis of the kind replies I've had here and, yes, it is a cracker. The more I hear from 'Torchwood' audios, the more 'into' them I'm getting. And then, blow me down, 'Fall to Earth' is on sale, which is downloading this minute. What a fine sale this has been.

Huh, another Torchwood release. Guess if I got the first one I'll nab this too!
So, an unusual year so far! Only two direct Doctor Who releases, three DW spinoff releases, one DW-related interview, and three non-Who. In comparison to the last few years, that's significantly less Doctor (usually around 7-8 per year... yes, I'm enough of a nerd to have kept notes!)... Not a bad thing, per-se; I like the idea of using the annual sale to drum up interest in other ranges (it worked last year, since I'm now following Pathfinder Legends).

This year's Big Finish-Mas has seen some really nice sales. For other people, I seem to have very little luck with it this year--with the exception of Wizard of Oz (which I bought), I've already owned every item that's been put on sale so far. I'm not moaning, these are terrific sales--I'm just a bit amused by it all

I set aside a budget with the intention of getting something else for myself if there was nothing in the sales (since I have so much of what BF has to offer so far). I've been startlingly lucky this year, but I can sympathize with your plight!

This year I've only spent 2.99 so far.

With Breaking Bubbles, I think I'm just one Widow's Assassin away from owning every single Colin Baker story.

Have this one already, but I'd recommend it to anyone curious about the Early Adventures range. It's not the best story of the season (I found that to be An Ordinary Life, myself), but it's a good gateway into the storytelling style this series uses.
As with the other sales so far, if you're curious, the 2.99 price tag makes for an excellent incentive!

How well does this one work as a Stand-alone?

I spent 2.99 on the one 4th Doctor release on offer that I didn't own. Also the first year I haven't spent more.

How well does this one work as a Stand-alone? Not very and you need a good grasp of Full Circle to get the most of it, but to put it delicately it's worth its current price.

Big Finish sales don't seem to be as good as they used to be with these 12 Days Of Christmas offers. Mainly discounts on downloads and not enough on CDs. What happened to when both the download and physical CD would be discounted?

What happened to when both the download and physical CD would be discounted? The 12 Days of Christmas sales have always been download only as the warehouse is closed and they want to minimize congestion as much as possible.

I'm sure regular CD and DL Sales will recommence soon.
