I don't suppose you're interested in changing your name to something that doesn't begin with an E in order to make things a little easier on me? I am a bear of very little brain. Well, maybe they'd cooperate if you change your name to Joseph. How's this?!

I used to live in central Jersey - New Brunswick area, and I still have many good friends there. But I'm currently in sunny south Florida. Who knows? I may move back one day. You know, even if I'm on this board for a thousand years, I will never stop thinking that Ela and Elkawho are the same person We didn't quite make it out to New Brunswick, but we were over in Somerville last week. Well, you were close to right. I just don't live there right now.

I don't mind being confused with Ela . She's a terrific person. I'm also in Jersey, but a little more north. And my brother and niece don't live far from you Ela in FL. Aww, thanks, Elkawho.

So did we Jersey/former Jersey folks watch Doctor Who on the same PBS stations?
I usually watched in on Saturday evenings on WNJN. Fund drives were actually kind of tolerable because the Prydonians of Princeton would man the phone banks in full regalia.
Occasionally WLTV/PBS 39 out of the Lehigh Valley would run episodes late in the evening too.

Umm.. Mad Max the original was filmed in my home town, Mel's nickname WAS Mad Max back then- he would get smashed every night at the local pub..

Sir Donald Bradman the best cricketer to have played the sport, lived not too far from my area... :-) Don Bradman is considered to be the greatest Batsman of all time Not the Greatest cricketer. That honour probably goes to Gary Sobers(West Indies) who is regarded as the greatest all rounder.(Meaning he could Bat and Bowl,he was also a brilliant fielder) all the best

Tom Oliver who played Lou in the Australian TV Soap Neighbours used to live here...other than that nothing springs to mind.
Though I do have a Portsmouth postcode, and Portsmouth (Hampshire, England) has tonnes of history.

We possibly have the only MP that thinks because Trump has followed through on his election promises, he must be a great guy (yes he did say that in the Commons, on camera). Does it make me feel like I live in a special town? Not quite the word I was thinking of...
Cheers

Next week on the 28th it will be Tuesday everywhere else, here in New Orleans though it will be Mardi Gras. Pretty much everything goes on that day and while I typically have avoided larger crowds as I've gotten older, I think I might partake in the festivities and debaucherous behaviors this year.

sorry, Adam West was the greatest batman, ever body knows that... That is not in Dispute!! Apologies to all our American friends for talking about Cricket. I work with a woman from Jamaica and we had a whole conversation about cricket the other day. Me stating that it is completely ridiculous while she defended it as a truly remarkable game. The Fifth Doctor would have been proud.

There is nothing ridiculous about a game that could last days or possibly weeks. Best we can manage is a 17 inning baseball game I attended year before last. Problem was they cut off the beer after 7 innings.
