What Mark said. I really like the BF video trailers, especially when you compare them to the early "video" trailers that were essentially just pictures of the cast (just look at the trailer for The Light At the End on BF's channel) - it shows you just how far they've come. For a small company, BF's trailers are pretty impressive.

I'm aware I'm opening myself up to getting eaten alive here, but... {Spoiler} was I the only one who didn't realise it wasn't Eve Myles playing 'Gwen'? Not for one second did I think it sounded like someone else...

Not for one second did I think it sounded like someone else... I was the polar opposite, but I think you were perhaps the only one to listen to it 'properly' as it were, without suspecting anything If anything, you should probably give yourself a pat on the back! Also, welcome to the forum!

Thank you! I used to post on the old one from time to time as 'malibupete', and I've been lurking here for ages, but this is the first time I had anything to say

Orr
Sorry to be repetitive but ... this is another sizzler. Nice to hear Jack once again at the forefront of events. I love the way this series has introduced us to the newer characters first, before allowing the established ones centre stage. Jack's his usual flirtatious self, and that seems a great weakness when confronted with multi-sexual multi-form Orr. What a fascinating character and concept Orr is. Even Mr Colchester came over all unneccessary. A personal thing - my surname is Parry, so hearing 'Mr Parry' being shouted between the members of the team was oddly pleasing.

Superiority Complex
My only problem with this is when characters talk of 'The Sorvix', I keep thinking of that Samurai bloke from Warriors of the Deep!
This is another cracker, a typically quirky story that has distant shades of Doctor Who's Flip-Flop, with alien attitudes to humans and vice versa. Captain Jack as barman is not without its merits - "Everything's better with Harkness inside you." Oh dear! There is an epic-quality to this, a good series finale (even though, thankfully it isn't, just a box-set finale). And that unscrupulous little toe-rag Tyler (too harsh?) gets a great cliffhanger.
I can't compliment this first box-set enough. I can't say if it matches any TV series, because I've not seen any of the TV series all the way through, but it's one of my favourite BF sets of the year.

You think that's bad, when I was 10 and reading the novelisation I somehow misread "Sauvix" as "Cervix"... my Mum was a little unhappy about what I was reading until she realised the mistake

Not for one second did I think it sounded like someone else... It took me a while... {Spoiler} I could tell something was off, but never clocked it wasn't Eve Myles until the real Gwen pitched up. Of course, listening back not and it's obvious!

Hi all Long time lurker, first time poster here. I loved this set. it really feels like a proper continuation of Torchwood. I thought all 4 episodes were excellent with some wonderful ideas in there. I thought Mr Colchester was fantastic and a brilliant addition to the team. {Spoiler} I loved Orr's character as well, such a clever idea and so Torchwood! I have a question regarding Orr as well which I wonder if anyone can answer. In Episode 3 It's established that Orr can changes their form to suit anyone's sexual desire. We also hear that this includes changing their voice as well. So, I'm wondering why in Episode 4 whenever they "change" his/her voice remains exactly the same? In Episode 3 it seems like most times they change their voice changes as well, so I don't know why this didn't seem happen in Episode 4. Anyone have any ideas? I may have missed something that explained it, but I don't think I did. I can't wait to hear where the story all leads to. The one big advantage of leaving it this long before starting the series is that I now don't have that long to wait before the next volume!

I just finished re-listening to Aliens Among Us 1. I'm still wondering exactly when Ng came into the picture. I don't think we're told, and I'm still finding her and her motivations to be a bit of a mystery.

I was so blown away by all the other things that happened in Aliens Among Us, I feel I may have missed something about Ng - a good excuse for another listen
