I highly doubt it but maybe the 10th Doctor will make an appearance off screen. It just seems odd to call it full-cast and feature David Tennant's image on the cover without him actually making an appearance. If it is off-screen, I hope too many don't buy it with the false belief that David Tennant's recorded lines . If he's not mentioned in the cast list then people shouldn't expect him to be there.

Maybe it will be something along the lines of The Churchill Years? Full-cast but with some narration for the Doctor's parts?

Anybody who doesn't know Big Finish buying for others may just see 10 on the front cover and automatically assume David Tennant is in it.

I mean Tennant's image were used on the covers for Death's Deal, partly on Volume 1 of The Churchill Years and on both of the recent Jago & Litefoot short trips... Doing it here doesn't exactly scream out false advertisement to me. In fact it makes sense for the character to crop up here as this location was only really explored in his era. Having him in a story or just as a glorified cameo in the form of narration would probably be fine.

I think it's misleading marketing, the picture is there to lure people in, and it will, and who knows how many of those will be disappointed. But whether it be one or thousands, the responsibility of that disappointment lay with BF.

This is still a "why?" for me. Big Finish already have plenty of New Series material to be working with even without this and Jenny (I bet Nick will be relieved when Big Finish can officially announce it, even though the Cat person has long been out of the bag). Is there not much left to use from the Ninth to Eleventh Doctor eras?
Kieran Hodgson looks like David Tennant, only with less wiry hair. And unless David is making a guest appearance, why is the Tenth Doctor on the cover? If there is a Tenth Doctor guest appearance, will that be the main promotional draw?

New Earth was a major story arc in the Ninth and Tenth Doctor eras, and one of the few worlds the Doctor has ever paid repeat visits to on television. It's not exactly scraping the barrel.

Major story arc? It only got two, at best three episodes if you count The End of the World. For good or for ill, no one really talks about New Earth or Gridlock anymore. I did find Yasmin Bannerman's acting in The End of the World rather wooden.

I have a limited BF budget, but truth be told even if I didn't I'm still kinda doubtful this will find a market and would be unlikely to buy this myself, New Earth never exactly screamed 'potential spninoff' to me and I have little love or nostalgia for New Who series 2, that said some of the stories and characters sound interesting, I wonder if this set is designed to act as a backdoor pilot for other ranges?
And I agree that it seems a bit misleading to have Tennant on the cover if he isn't actually appearing in the boxset himself.

At least the cover looks nice.

I saw some pretty excited comments on Facebook, so I wouldn't say there's no audience for this set. But as for myself, I think I'll sit this one out. If there is a Tenth Doctor appearance, though, I may reconsider.

Has anyone ever talked about New Earth since 2006?
This isn't exactly Jago and Litefoot is it? I will wait for reviews, maybe it will suprise.

They didn't have much Classic series either. They're done Torchwood, so I am surprised they haven't done SJA, either with the kids or Jo.

Has anyone ever talked about New Earth since 2006? Yes, because Gridlock was broadcast in 2007. (Captain Jack was, of course, a major part of the New Earth story arc...)
