It's the Halloween season after all... What do you think are Big Finish's best, most frightening and disturbing titles? Skimming through my buys, I come up with: - Dark Shadows: Beyond the Grave
- Doctor Who: The Chimes of Midnight
- Doctor Who: Spare Parts
- Dracula
- Omega Factor series 1
And, of course, most of the Survivors range. What do you think, fellow Divergents?

I never really get frightened, or scared in the horror sense with jumps and monsters etc, so the releases that scare me the most are ones where there's a real sense of dread and a feel that someone I genuinely care about isn't going to survive. For that reason, Death In The Family I'd say is the one that scared me the most as it just felt like there wasn't a get out. No resets. No deus ex machina. This was truly the dark side of Doctor Who. It truly chilled me to the bone. Absolutely NOT standalone though, so anyone who wants to hear it had better brush up on Hex, The Forge and Evelyn Likewise, Neverland and Scherzo scared me for similiar reasons I won't go into for spoilers but the idea that the universe could be so different and change our hero so fundamentally...that scared me. Neverland in particular is The Doctor' Kobayashi Maru.

I'm fairly similar in respects to audio (though horror movies, etc. can definitely scare the bejeebers out of me), but one Big Finish that made me a little jumpy was torchwood_cascade_CDRip.tor (that's a hell of a title...). The nature of the story constantly had me in a state of panic as I thought that my laptop was dying and ready to explode

"Scary" isn't appropriate for me too, but I really did like the atmosphere of Embrace the Darkness.
I loved the way Dreamtime started but thought it became too silly.
Agree with most of the others already mentioned

agree with everyone on the "usual suspect" titles, for Halloween listening
but for me the scariest title is
Protect and Survive
being at school in the early eighties, we were always being reminded about the threat of nuclear war, from having to read "when the wind blows" one of the strangest, scariest and down right odd children's books (the film was not much better), planning what we would do with the fabled 4 minute warning, watching and writing about Hiroshima, Chernobyl.......I think it has unnerved a generation.

I'd add The Island of Dr. Moreau to the list. I've been listening to it this week and it's really creeping me out (in the best way possible).

Doctor Who: Holly Terror, Rat Trap, Embrace the Darkness, Wirrn Isle, Point of Entry, Night of the Vashta Nerada. Others - Sapphire and Steel: Water Like a Stone/Cruel Immortality. Torchwood: Made You Look, Corpse Day.
PLUS assorted moments from Omega Factor, Dorian Grey, Survivors and The Prisoner.
A special mention for the entire Dark Shadows range, especially The Happier Dead.
